WHAT SUCCESSFUL URBAN SCHOOLS DO! EXPERTS SHARE BEST PRACTICES

    in Education

    Show overview:

A discussion with Ms. Linda Harris, Mr. Patrick Jones and Mr. James Taylor. Show title "What Successful Urban Schools Do! Experts Share Best Practices.

NCEBC wants to welcome the full village to question, understand, and ask questions, about governance, educational policy, finances,  resources, and  the basic democratic principles of equity, fairness, and justice. It is important (if not, vital) that we have this conversation to continue to dispel the myth that black children are incapable of achieving high test scores,  therefore public schools are incapable of providing quality education.

"We believe in accountability. We believe that data drives decision-making. We believe in research-based practices. These principles have been used for generations by high performing schools, principals and Superintendents; especially those working and succeeding in urban communities were poverty and race are the dominant elements. This conversation is about the politics, power, economics, and restructuring of a public school system into a charter school system."

Diana Daniels, Executive Director, National Council on Educating Black Children

Back II Basic Episode 472 : Commenting on the news stories of the day!!!

    in Politics Conservative

Super Bowl 50 is in the books, and if you like D-FENCE, this was a good Super Bowl. It came down to who made the least mistakes, and that was the Denver Broncos. Congratulations to the Broncos!

Has anyone seen a debate yet this season? I mean I have watched what they call a debate, however, I have not seen one debate yet! It seems like all the questions asked are geared to create controversy, or go over policy points that will make the candidates argue among themselves!

A real debate would ask a series of questions that each candidate has to answer. All candidates are ask to answer the same question. We will never know what the candidates stand for if they keep getting gotcha questions from the moderators!

Has anyone seen my Republic? Why are the American people so timid about getting politics right? We have a constitution we can refer to when we have questions about whether the government is doing it job right. Why is the public at large so lazy, that they can't be bothered with guiding their stewards constitutionally? Freedom and Liberty are not free and it take work to keep them!

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN: DOES THE WORLD NEED A PROPHET TODAY?

    in Lifestyle

THE PROPHET ISAIAH WAS A TRULY WISE MAN GIVEN THE ABILITY TO EVALUATE AND FORESEE THINGS FROM GOD.  BUT DESPITE HIS WISDOM AND COUNSEL TO LEADERS OF ANCIENT JUDAH SOME 2700 YEARS AGO, EVEN HE WAS EVENTUALLY PUT TO DEATH BECAUSE HE PROVIDED ADVICE THAT THE RULERS NO LONGER WANTED TO HEAR.  MANKIND HAS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF CREATION FALLEN INTO SIN, VIOLATING THE TRUST THAT GOD GAVE MORTAL BEINGS DUE TO THE DESIRE FOR PHYSICAL SELF-INDULGENCE,  ACQUISITION OF RICHES AND POWER, EVEN FOR PRIDE.  TODAY SINFULNESS SEEMS TO BE CONSTANTLY GROWING AS WE IN MODERN SOCIETY OFTEN FORGET THE ONE WHO MADE US.  AND THAT BRINGS US TO THE QUESTION:  DO WE MORTALS NEED A MODERN DAY PROPHET TO GUIDE US?  AND THE ANSWER MIGHT SURPRISE YOU, BUT YOU’LL JUST HAVE TO TUNE IN TO SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN THIS WEEKEND IF YOU WANT TO HEAR OUR ANSWER.

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN IS A WEEKEND DEVOTIONAL PROGRAM PROVIDED BY NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE.  IT IS OFFERED FOR CHRISTIANS OR ANYONE WANTING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, ESPECIALLY THE INFIRM AND OTHERS WHO ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND CHURCH.  WE HOPE YOU’LL JOIN US FOR SOME SCRIPTURE, A MESSAGE, GOOD CHRISTIAN MUSIC AND PRAYER.  IT IS JUST ANOTHER AVENUE TO SHARE THE “GOOD NEWS” WITH THOSE WHO SEEK IT.
