Plan-B; Social Security and Chained CPI; Chris Christie

    in News

Chapter 1: White House Calls for Hold on Decision Regarding Plan-B Morning After Pill   The FDA announced lowered  the age which young women can obtain Plan-B, the so-called “morning-after pill” without a prescription from 17 years-of-age to 15. A federal district judge thought there shouldn’t be any age restriction. The Administration reacted by asking the court for a stay while they appeal.  We talk to Linda Feldmann reporter for the Christian Science Monitor who has been following the story.   Chapter 2: Social Security and Chained CPI   Retirement assistance be it Social Security and Medicare remains a constant battle when Congress debates the budget. Various budget proposals have varied on how they would address its solvency. President Obama included the adoption of chained-CPI to calculate future social security needs and payouts to retirees. The Senate did not. The Republican budget didn’t, but included other cuts. We talk to Mark Romm, Director of Masters Program in American Government at Georgetown University and Max Richtman, President and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security.   Chapter 3:  New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Using State Race for 2016 Ambitions   Chris Christie is again bucking his own party, calling for expanded background checks to curb gun violence. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Gubernatorial election is 6 months away, though many are calling it a done deal. Christie is a popular national figure, even having been named one of Time’s 100 most influential people. His Opponent is Barbara Buono, a state senator who served as the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and as majority leader. We get an update from Paul Mulshine, columnist at the New Jersey Star Ledger.

    Ron Nawrocki - Wealth DNA

    in Real Estate

State of the Housing Market - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show our returning guest Michael Orr will help educate us on a major asset class, which affects each of us whether we invest in residential real estate, we own a home, or we rent. I've said before that once housing prices start to rise rapidly, we can expect housing to be kicked out of the US CPI just like food & energy. Although as far as I know, we don't have a single listener who can avoid eating, consuming energy, and living somewhere !

It's been a full 3 years since we had Michael Orr on the show, and I forget that most listeners don't have regular access to the information he provides in the Cromford Report and as Director of the Real Estate Center Theory & Practice at the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU). So you may not know that his prediction on the housing market bottom, the rapid rise, and the plateau in prices starting late in 2013 happened just as he stated. I can assure you, he's not like one of the talking heads just sharing his opinion ... he bases his predictions on facts and trends. And no one has better data on housing than he does.

So has the resurgence of housing prices just begun? Are we in another bubble? And what are the indicators he suggests we use to navigate this important asset class? We'll cover these topics and many more, so prepare your questions for THE expert, grab a cup of coffee, tea, glass of wine, or your favorite beverage and join us for the State of the Housing Market ...

    LYNCHING: TERROR AMERICAN STYLE

    in Culture

Lennon Lacy, Otis Byrd, Roosevelt Champion III, Fredrick Jermaine Carter; Anthony Hill; James Byrd; Brandon McClelland; Andre Jones, are all Black men whose deaths raised the hideous symbolism of lynching either by hanging from a tree, hanging in a jail cell or the horrific dragging of their bodies chained behind pickup trucks. These men lost their lives from the 1990s to as recent as April 2015.

LYNCHING & THE RACISM BEHIND IT IS NOT A THING OF THE PAST: The American system at its root is racist. America's social core is rotten & driven by White Supremacy and the sense of White entitlement where Black, Brown & Red lives really don't matter. Now there is the rise of lynching--which the authorities are quick to write off as Black men committing suicide even where there is no evidence on the scene of the individual staging a suicide. PEOPLE WE CANNOT FATHOM THE DEPTH OF SATAN'S WICKEDNESS.

Baltimore burning: Beyond the Crisis; Police Negligence

    in Current Events

Obama calling rioters Thugs.  Class division and warfare.  A mysterious banging in a police van that led to fatal spinal cord injuries and a coma.  All the elements to propel the Black Lives Matter movement into another public demonstration of civil rights violations.  But wait....Freddie Grey was a 25 yr old man with a 22 crime rap sheet in 7 years, some crimes only 1 week apart.  How could someone with this rap sheet even be in the streets?  Even with all that, the police had no clear reason to arrest the man that night on 4/12...they found the switchblade on him after they made the arrest.  This show was recorded at 2 a.m. 5/1 before the announcement of charges against 6 policemen.  The horror of being chained in leg irons and not properly fastened in a police van is unacceptable.

I AM...Divine! Live Intuitive Angel Card Readings

    in Spirituality

    10 am/pst ~ I AM...Divine! Live Intuitive Angel Card Readings ~ Call in: 914-205-5883.

You ARE Divine! Yes! Even in all the dark places where you hide your secrets or live in your fear...You ARE Divine. We came here to live human lives, with human emotions, to learn lessons, grow and become more. What kind of lessons would we have learned if there wasn't pain, confusion and at times, heartbreak? It is how we grow. It is how we learn. And it is our perception of the experience that colors how we see the lesson. The old paradigm would have us believe that we are inherintly broken....but that time has passed and it is time for a new paradigm. Today I want you to know that you have never been broken. You have never been less than. YOU are Pefect, Whole and Complete where you are and where you stand.

Let's change the perspectives that keep us chained in a past we cannot change. Let's strip away the lies and justifications of our unworthyness.

    Let's talk to the Angels!

    SRWM ~ Dr.Linda Williams

    in Blogs

March 14, 2015 on SRWM ~ Linda Williams

    About the book:
"Whose Apple is it Anyway!" is a profound voyage along a trail of tears and heartbreak; laughter and triumph, in the author’s own journey to wholeness and healing.   The book’s rubber-meets-the-road perspective provides practical-applications, guidance, and real-life examples of how to recognize, root out, and overcome the hindrances that keep us unmercifully chained to the past.

Prior to scholarly research as a doctoral candidate in Criminal Justice, Ms. Williams’ undergraduate thesis lead to a partnership between Hope Network and Prison Fellowship in implementing the program closely modeled after her thesis. She subsequently focused on exoffender reintegration with an emphasis on the special needs of female offenders. Her current studies will develop a progressive purpose-based curriculum for female offenders reentering society after engagement with the prison system.   http://www.whoseapple.org/
