So Let's Examine the Evidence...Jesus IS Coming ..the Curse is about to be over

    in Current Events

24 Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.

4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned

The Father Factor - Vincent Ellis White

    in Lifestyle

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 24 million children in America - 1-3 live in biological father-absent homes. Nine in ten Americans agree this is a crisis. Due to the "father factor", affecting most of the social issues in America today-from police brutality, to youth delinquency and academic failures-breakdowns in the system have become all too prevalent. This underscores the fact that children with involved fathers do better across every statistic on child well-being than their peers in father-absent homes. A stable at-home dad was something yearned for by author/advocate Vincent Ellis White when he was a kid. Seeing how it led to rage and rebellion in his own life, he now focuses on mentoring, healthy family advocacy, & strengthening families by way of creating awareness and open dialogue to help address similar problems faced by youths dealing with the father factor.

He is joining us to discuss his book titled "Finding Chris My Father."  (347) 637-2319 and press 1.

    Rebuilding the African Community: Marriage

    in Culture

The African American community has the lowest marriage rate in America and the highest out of wedlock childbirth rate.  But on top of these depressing numbers, the Census Bureau figures show that while everyone else's divorce rate went down, Black women between the ages of 50-59 were more likely to divorce.  Our divorce rate went up to 48%.  In addition, Black woman have the highest chance of their first marriage ending within 10 years, at 47%.  “Marriage and Divorce in the African-American Community” - REAL-PIC TV Network

In 1890, 80% of African American households were comprised of two parents. One hundred years later, only 40% of African-American children live in married-couple households.

Is marriage a foundation stone in the rebuilding of the African community?  What are we missing? Why we need to revive marriage tradition.

    We'll talk about it.

    Prepare for Something Greater

    in Spirituality

In preparing, we often times use a census to ensure we have just enough for the people we serve. As we look at our lives, the Lord wants us to prepare for something greater. Our Lord did not bring us (you) this far to leave you, likewise, He did not bring you to that place to remain. We must be like a tree planted and continue to grow. A place is not necessarily a shift in buildings, but a move within your life. Join me as we discover how to prepare for something greater!
