    Iona Women's basketball two game sweep of their trip to Niagara and Canisius and their upcoming mome game with Monmouth Friday Feb. 5th at 11 AM and trip to Rider on Sunday.  Against Canisius Joy Adams set the all time Gael rebounding record for women.


    The men's win at home versus Manahattan in front of a packed Hynes Center and national broadcast audience and the win Monday night at Saint Peter's.  The Gaels play at Canisius 7 PM Friday on ESPN3 and at Niagara Sunday at 2 PM.

    Army-Navy Talk: Former Army QB Angel Santiago Joins Ken Kraetzer


    Angel Santiago from Fontana, California graduated from the US Military Academy as a member of the class of 2015.  The option QB ran for 1,586 yards scroed 21 touchdowns and threw for three more TDs. In the Fall 2015 he coached the Army Prep School team which beat Navy Prep, he will join the field Artilery branch of the Army.

    Rory E. Riley is principal at Riley-Topping Consulting located in Charlotte, NC. She is admitted to practice before the U.S Court of Appeals for Veterans claims and is a member of the Massachusetts and New York bars.


    Ms. Riley is experienced in the area of veterans law and policy; has served on Capital Hill as Staff Director and Counsel for the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Subcommittee on Disability and Memorial Affairs.  She has been invited to speak at The American Legion National Convention in 2012 and 2014; the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar Association in 2012; and the American University Law Review Symposium. She is also the two-time winner of the Paralyzed Veterans of American National Legal Writing Contest in 2008 and 2009.


    Ms. Riley is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (B.A., History, cum laude, 2004), and Quinnipiac University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2007). In her spare time, she coaches gymnastics and cheerleading for Special Olympics, including as the Team USA gymnastics coach at the Special Olympics World Games in 2011 and 2015.

    The Veterns Day national ceremony is held each year on Nov 11th at Arlington National Cemetary.  The ceremony begins at percisely 11 a.m. with a wreath laying at the tomb of the unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by Veterans' organizations and remarks from dignitaries.  The ceremony is intented to honor and thank all who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.


    President Wilson in 1919 proclaimed the first Armistice day with the following words.


    STAY TUNED...


    'TO US' in America...etc.


    The day is filled with solemn...etc.


    America is given the opportunity to...etc.

    Our guest Kevin Kugel is a graduate of the US Military Academy, a native of Port Chester, NY, and serves as the Professor of Military Science at Providence College leading the multi school Patriot Battalion.


    LTC Kugel is chair of an academic department and professor at a four-year, private, liberal arts college with 14 full-time staff and faculty and an annual budget of over $100k from multiple funding streams. Responsible for curriculum and course management of eight 3.0 credit hour courses taught by the Department of Military Science and personally instructs all 400-level military science courses, leading to the annual commissioning requirement of 14 Army Officers. Fostered cooperative partnerships with local centers of influence, including campus administrators, alumni, local military units, and military and veterans groups to improve educational and developmental opportunities for participating students.


    Providence College ROTC is recognized as one of the premier Army ROTC programs in the Northeast by the regional commander and the U.S. Army Cadet Command.  Performance and potential placed in top third of Professors of Military Science nation-wide by the Commanding General of U.S. Army Cadet Command

    Ken Kraetzer and John Chuhran of White Plains, NY Post 135 Sons of the American Legion Radio talk with former American Legion National Commander Michael Helm about his October trip to visit US military members stationed at Quantanamo Bay, Cuba.


    Michael D. Helm of Norcatur, Kansas, served as national commander of the 2.4 million member American Legion from 2014-2015. A U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War, he served with the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, N.C., and earned his Ranger tab in 1972. He has been a member of Jack Helt American Legion Post 313 at Lebanon, Neb., since 1972. Born in McCook, Neb., he grew up in Norcatur, Kansas. He is a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier with more than 33 years of service. Helm served as cdr of the Department of Nebraska from 1987 to 1988 and as a national vice cdr. from 2003 to 2004. Helm's wife, Debbie, is active in The American Legion Auxiliary. They are parents of five Legion Family members. Aaron and his wife, Robie, both graduates of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.; Rebecca and her husband, Jaron Cox, both graduates of Kansas State University; Jacob, a 2015 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy; Matthew, an Army ROTC cadet at Kansas State University and Timothy, a student at Decatur Community High School in Oberlin, Kansas

One short trip to Nanda Parbat later, and they're ready to start haggling with the new Ra's al Ghul over whether or not they're allowed to restore Sara's dead body in the Lazarus pit. Oh, also, they totally want to fix Thea's burgeoning bloodlust.
