Dolph Lundgren's motion picture debut came in the 1985 James Bond feature A VIEW TO A KILL. ‘I’m on screen for no more than ten seconds, if you blink you miss me...’. But, it was Dolph’s performance in ROCKY IV later that year that got him noticed worldwide. After a 9 month audition process among 5,000 hopefuls, Dolph was chosen by Sylvester Stallone to be his fearsome Soviet opponent in the ring, Captain Ivan Drago. From here Dolph build a solid career as an international action-hero & has since starred in more than thirty-five feature films. In the eighties & nineties, Lundgren played the classic action lead in such films as MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO co-starring the late Brandon Lee & BLACKJACK by Hong-Kong action legend John Woo. In the 90’s Lundgren also turned in some memorable performances as the main villain to other action stars, most notably in UNIVERSAL SOLDIER opposite Jean Claude Van Damme, directed by Roland Emmerich & “JOHNNY MNEMONIC opposite Keanu Reeves. Dolph made the move behind the camera to become a director six years ago. Since then, Dolph has directed five feature films. His production company Thor Pictures is currently developing several projects, which he will produce, star & direct. His two latest projects are a feature he co-wrote & directed, COMMAND PERFORMANCE produced by Avi Lerner & Nu Image Films – & ICARUS, a neo-noir thriller, shot in Vancouver, BC. In 2009 Dolph co-starred with fellow action star Jean-Claude Van Damme in UNIVERSAL SOLDIER REGENERATION, a sequel to the film that paired the two European actors back in the 90’s. Thursday, February 18th 2016 -- the NBA Trade Deadline. A day that has served as a franchise altering day for so many teams including the Boston Celtics themselves. Last year alone saw the organization acquire All Star-to-be Isaiah Thomas from the Phoenix Suns, and the team has not looked back since. Could something bigger and better be on the horizon this year?
CLNS Radio will take you up, to, and through the 3 PM ET deadline with special live coverage on the Celtics Post-Game Show feed starting at 2:30 PM ET on CLNSRadio.com. There’s no guarantee the Celtics may acquire another star player for the stretch run, but CLNS Radio offers you a panel of hosts in a very special show with the Celtics Stuff Live team of Justin Poulin and Jon Duke. And joining them will be Larry H. Russell himself as they will cover the Boston Celtics comings and goings starting at 2:30 and going for as long as needed to cover what very well could be a historic day for the franchise.
Poulin, Duke, and LHR will open the phone lines to all fans and guests who may stop by and want to offer their voice and opinions at 347-215-7771. A disclaimer: The show is live, so suffice to say, some on-the-spot breaking news may take some precedence!
The Celtics Talk Crew is back to discuss the 2015/2016 Boston Celtics season for the final time. The Celtics Talk Crew will be joined by special guest Adam Lowenstein. Together Adam and the Celtics Talk Crew will talk and give their thoughts on the accomplishments the Boston Celtics had this season. From going 48-34 to knocking off some of the top teams in the NBA including the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warrios and the defending Eastern Conference Champs the Cleveland Cavaliers. To what players they believe over achieved and under achieved for this season. They will also give you the info for the NBA Draft Lottery which is 2 weeks away from tonight and what the Celtics chances are of getting the #1 pick overall. Also the Celtics current salary cap situation. Which players are under contract for next season. Should any of those players be traded in our guest or host minds. What about the free agents. Who should be brought back and who should be given the boot by Danny Ainge and the team. We will discuss and as always we welcome your input on this subjects as we look towards the offseason for the Boston Celtics
The Celtics played one of their toughest 4 game combinations this season as they went at it with the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. 3 of the 4 games were in Boston at the TD Garden. The only road game was against the Pacers. But the Celtics having been one of the teams to have played the most games in the NBA thus far this season got plenty of rest during this 4 game stretch. On our last show we discussed the Celtics going 1-1 on a back to back that saw them beat Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks the first night then lose to Lebron James, the Refs and the Cavs the next night. The Celtics then got 4 days off before hosting the Memphis Grizzlies in Boston. The Celtics got 1 day off before hosting the Houston Rockets on Friday. Then got 3 days off before facing a tought back to back set which saw them face off with the Pacers out in Indiana then travel back to Boston to take on the Thunder the next night. In those games the Celtics opponents will all be playing on atleast 1 days rest or more. The Celtics went into the game against the Grizzlies with a 1/2 game lead over the Heat for 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. Trailed the Raptors by 5 Games for 2nd place. At the ending of this stretch the Celtics will be going at it with the Raptors in the final 2 games of the season series. The Celtics must win both to prevent the Raptors from holding the tiebreaker via the head to head wins. So where do the Celtics stand after the 4 game stretch. Did they gain ground on Toronto who had to face off with the Hawks, Heat, Bulls, Bucks and are going at it with the Pacers right now as we speak or did Toronto move closer to first and further from the Celtics. What about the Celtics/Heat race. The Heat had to take on the Bucks, Bulls, Raptors, Nuggets and are taking on the Hornets right now. Are the Celtics still ahead of them? Or did they gain some ground prior to this show. We will break it down on Celtics Talk Radio
The Boston Celtics 2015/2016 season has come to an end. The Celtics lost in round 1 of the NBA Playoffs to the 4th seeded Atlanta Hawks in 6 games and now face an offseason that is sure to feature plenty of excitement for Celtics fans. The Celtics lost games 1 and 2 in Atlanta to go down 2-0 before coming back to Boston for games 3 and 4 where they went on to tie the series up 2-2 going back to Atlanta for game 5. The Celtics would then proceed to lose game 5 in Atlanta via a blowout and lose game 6 in front of their fans in Boston to end the season. The Celtics lost the regular season series 3-1 to the Hawks so the Hawks had the edge going into the series as it was based on regular season matchup. The Hawks as the 4th seed had the Home Court advantage as well. But the advantages only got bigger for the Hawks as the series Progressed. In game 1 the Celtics lost starting Shooting Guard Avery Bradley for what would be the rest of the series. In that same game Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk was also injured and would end up missing games 2 and 3 before returning to play minimal action in games 4 and 5. Jae Crowder who admitted he was playing at only 75% struggled throughout the series as he was not the same player we saw in the regular season due to his injuries. Your Celtics Talk Crew will now recap alongside special guest Rich Contee the Hawks playoff series. They will discuss what were some of the key issues the Celtics had that caused them to lose this series. Was it simply that they were missing Avery Bradley and were too banged up. How about the officiating which many people including the NBA even admitted screwed up at times in this series. Did that cost the Celtic's. Did some of the Celtics pending fre agents like Evan Turner and Jared Sullinger perform a way that will make our host and our guest say resign them or let them walk. You will just have to tune in to find out
The NBA Playoffs are here. The Boston Celtics finished the NBA Regular season at 48-34 tied with the Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets for the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference. Due to tiebreakers the Miami Heat won the 3rd seed. The Atlanta Hawks took the 4th seed. The Celtics took the 5th seed. The Hornets took the 6th seed. Setting up the Celtics and the Hawks in round 1. In the Regular Season the Hawks took 3 of 4 games from the Boston Celtics. But the games were close each and everytime until the final quarter where usually one team pulled away from the other. Now your Celtics Talk Radio crew will let you hear what some of the familiar faces from the Boston Celtics and Comcast Sportsnet New England have to say about this series. From Head Coach Brad Stevens to the players. Commentators and Insiders like A.Sherrod Blakely, Cedric Maxwell, Tommy Heinsohn and Mike Gorman. Also audio of an interview from Wyc Grousbeck done on the Felger and Mazz show before the Celtics faced the Heat in their season finale where Wyc discussed what his hopes are in the playoffs and gives some insight to his feeling about the offseason moves the team might do in regards to players on its current team. The Celtics started the post all-star break schedule with a 3 game western conference road trip. With trips in Utah, Denver, and Minnesota the Celtics went 1-2 in that 3 game trip and fell from the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference to the 4th seed. The Celtics after losing to the Wolves felt they were not playing as truly committed as they needed to be on the defensive end to win all 3 games on the road trip. The Celtics after having 2 days off after playing the Timberwolves now got a 5 game home stand with games against the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Utah Jazz, Portland Trailblazers and New York Knicks. With the game against the Blazers being the only game where the Celtics are facing a team who would be coming to Boston playing the 2nd night of a back to back all other games both teams should be well rested. So we are 4 games into the 5 game home stand with the game against the New York Knicks scheduled for tomorrow night. So where are the Celtics right now after the first 4 games at home. Have they figured out a way to get the offensive running a little more smoothly without the services of Kelly Olynyk available? What about that final roster spot has Danny Ainge signed someone to take the roster spot that David Lee left behind after being bought out. Also whats the Eastern Conference look like now in terms of the standings. Your Celtics Talk Crew for the 2nd week in a row will be all alone discussing while welcoming your calls to the hotline to dicuss with them the latest Boston Celtics news. All you gotta do is call our hotline 347-857-3545 and you can get in on the action.
On the last edition of Celtics Talk Radio. The Celtics Talk Crew talked about the Celtics 3 game losing streak. The Celtics had lost to Houston, Indiana and Oklahoma City prior to out last show. More importantly during the game against Houston the Celtics lost small forwards Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko. Leaving the Celtics with no options but to play guards against small forwards Paul George (ind) and Kevin Durant (okc) in their matchups vs the Pacers and Thunder which played key roles in their defeats. Since our last show the Celtics have now played the Toronto Raptors twice as well as the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics after having total control of the 3rd seed fell into a 4 team battle for the 3rd seed after losing those 3 games in a row. So Where do they stand now one week and 4 games later. Meanwhile they got Kelly Olynyk back in the game against OKC. How has he looked over the last week. Is he progressing in his return or is he still looking rusty. Has this past week shown us that there is someone else more important to this team then Isaiah Thomas. Or did the Celtics manage to survive and maintain their hold on the 3rd seed without Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko. Are either of them back. We will discuss those stories with our special guest Warren Shaw of the NBA Baseline Podcast on this edition of Celtics Talk Radio
The regular season is almost over. But the Celtics had to go on a trip out west one more time and they are 80% done with it. A 5 game road trip that would see them go at it with the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trailblazers, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics have played the first 4 games and only have the Lakers game left to go before coming back to the East Coast. With less then 2 weeks left in the NBA season its all about the matchups in the NBA. Do you now think about losing games on purpose to avoid a certain team until a certain round. Do you sacrifice games to get your ream healthy even if it means getting a bad matchup in round 1. Those are questions the Celtics will have to answer as many feel the best chance for them to get a big name free agent is to win a playoff round this year and if possible win 2 and the only way to do that is to avoid the Cavs until the Eastern Conference Finals. Meaning you must avoid the seeds that would meet up with the Cavs seed in rounds 1 and 2. Meanwhile what is the latest on the Celtics injury front. Is Jar Crowder back or is his situation looking like another Kelly Olynyk situation which means it could be that he doesnt return until the playoffs begin? What about Jonas Jerebko? Has everyone else stayed healthy? We will discuss those issues on Celtics Talk Radio
