On this Halloween show, or as they call it in Mexico, "Day of the Dead", I wanted to focus on something else today. I wanted to focus on life. I wanted to focus on 4 stories, if I can get to them all, in which people, women, with extraordinary circumstances and with a lot of pressure on them to abort their babies, they instead chose life. From conception through rape, to not wanting to have a baby and pressure from the boyfriend to abort, to being "too young" to be a mother, to having a baby that is going to be developmentally disabled, these stories cover almost the entire gamut of reasons people give to have an abortion. None of these women, or none of their mothers, chose that however. So today, it's Pro-Life Day on American Faith Today. And I celebrate life at 4:30 PM. These are fascinating and powerful stories. Please join me today or join me on the archives as your schedule permits. But don't miss this show.
What are you doing to make your life better in Year 2014? -- Mind, heart, body, soul, work and play! Join me and Dr. Gayle live and let's talk about it. Gayle Rodgers, Ph.D, is known as Dr. Rodgers, a counselor, author, coach, and trainer. Dr. Gayle models the ministry of Jesus with a view toward “setting the captives free” as she speaks to many different audiences on national and international levels. On recent platforms and in articles she presents Perspectives Of the Heart/Mind, discussing the mind and how we have the power to take control of our thoughts; stating, "You see I’ve determined after years of study that there is definitely a connection between the heart, mind, and body. In other words, what takes place in our heart directly affects the way we think, act and treat others. Additionally the way we process things in the heart also has a huge long lasting effect on our physical body." See website - doctorgayle.com
Don't miss this wonderful experience, wisdom and knowledge of Dr. Gayle to help make your Celebration of Life in 2014 amazing!
I am a long-term multiple brain injury and aneurysm survivor. It literally took me falling out of life into a coma that I nearly died from to realize what love, life, and community truly mean! I thought I was a good person.
I always tried to help others always felt that I understood life but not until the day I fell through the earth and deep into the fractured painful and alarming world of disability did aia undrestand how bad it can be!
It took many years of heartache and severe pain to realize that I could love and laugh again and have a really fun life even though I suffer very painful monstrous migraines and cognitive short-term memory loss.
I decided long ago that I wasn’t going to let all of that define me but let my my actions instead, And That’s Why Am a Dream Catcher and I want you to blaze your own new trails with us and boldly go where no person with these disabilities has ever gone before!!!!!!
I guess it’s time for me to pull out the brain injury toolkit again and add some new things to the box because if you are a brain injury survivor, caregiver, or friend or family of someone living with TBI.We all need to learn how to work together as a team so tonight I’m going to ask you to help me add to the tool kit much like a gardener would need to plant the seeds of hope and acts of kindness to find ourselves again after brain injury!
Les Paul Morgan is a dedicated Peer Support Specialist and Independent Living Advocate for Walton Options for Independent Living, he sits on the board of the brain injury Associations of South Carolina, and Georgia and strongly believes in the power of music therapy and the human spirit after disability because to him disability does not mean inability!!!!
Sue Lundgren, a very transformative thinker, discusses the importance of celebrating all of life's events...both big and little.

Mildred D. Muhammad is a sincere, thoughtful, and spiritual person. She wanted nothing more than to build a strong family unit in which she would be a good wife and mother.
But when her first husband -- John Allen Muhammad -- “turned” on her, Mildred knew she had to protect herself and her family.
When he emptied out their bank accounts, kidnapped their children, and disappeared, she had to learn to navigate the legal system, all while making sure that he did not find her. She had no money, no job, and she was living in a shelter for abused women when she began her uphill battle to find her children.
