As we celebrate the armed forces today, we listen to all sorts of music. It is a Monday after all, so be sure your feet are moving. We got Aloe Blacc, Imagine Dragons, J Lo, and so much more. Will you be joining us in our celebration? Can you move your feet faster than me? I bet you can. :P
Happy Memorial Day America! I am grateful for knowing so many patriotic people and thankful to all those who gave their service to this nation!
It is the fallen heroes that we must show gratitude for because they gave all for us. So I send out blessings and healing to those who have lost someone in their heart who served this country .
Call ins welcome!
see my YouTube video (Taps) on VenusInVelvet1111 and let's celebrate and remember!
Hey, what's five times three times five? Ah, who cares? But it's a day divisible by 5, which brings Frank Zappa to mind (cue "Five Five Five" from Shut Up N' Play Yer Guitar here), not to mention jazz fusion, prog and more. Oh, yeah, and something about remembering veterans, too.
Remember when we had a country by and for the people, one for which men were courageous and willing to fight for our collective individual rights and freedoms? Remember freedom of speech?
I know, it's been some time now since Y2K and the Presidency Where Sanity Went Away, and we got morons like Antonin Scalia telling us "the Constitution is dead", but some of us still believe in the "Grand Experiment" our Founding Fathers built for us, and know in our hearts that THAT'S what our vets were fighting to preserve...rather than the sad corporatocratic oligarchy and burgeoning serf fiefdom a band of red leaning lunatics are trying to dismantle our proud nation into.
So come and celebrate what this country is actually all about - the rights and freedoms of the individual, with a safety net for the general public, the rights of the lower and middle class worker over the wealthy shareholder and an eye towards the greater good.
It's Memorial Day on At Eye Level!

Gordon Jennings (Idris Elba) and his friends enjoy a luxurious lifestyle funded by bank robberies, and they avoid capture by sticking to a strict set of rules. The lure of so much cash is too tempting to resist but, unbeknown to Gordon's men, this heist puts them on a collision course with Russian mobsters and a detective (Matt Dillon) who will do anything to capture them.

On Memorial Day, we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service of our country.
President John F. Kennedy said "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Coach Joyce Barrie says "ask what you can do for our veterans." Take this opportunity to support our veterans, to make a difference, not just today, but everyday. Appreciate the veterans and be sure to let them know you care.
Rev. Marcos Miranda will talk about the significance of this Federal Holiday. He will lead us in prayer for our veterans and their families. Rev. Dr. Daniel Delgado will talk about his experiences in the Marines, his medical discharge and why we must never forget our fallen heroes.
Today we will celebrate Memorial Day and all those who sacrificed for our freedom here in the USA. We will also talk about how we can honor that sacrifice by making the world a better place. None of us can change the world on our own, but, if we work together, amazing things can happen! We will talk about how in this episode of Pull It Together with Erika Black.
