As a youth in the 1980s, LeVine recognized the appeal of countercultural aesthetics including punk flyers, comics, graffiti and tattoos. Beginning in 1994, LeVine became an independent curator, organizing exhibitions at punk and alternative rock venues in the NY/NJ area such as: CBGB, Webster Hall, Max Fish, and Maxwell's. By promoting these visual art forms through group shows in venues that were home to their musical counterparts, LeVine gave a home to this nascent art movement, early on.
In February 2001, LeVine opened his own gallery Tin Man Alley in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The gallery relocated to Philadelphia in late 2002. In January 2005, LeVine renamed and moved his gallery to the epicenter of the contemporary art world, Manhattan's Chelsea district.
Jonathan Levine Gallery is committed to new and cutting edge art. Our roots go back to 1995, when Jonathan's life-long participation in punk and underground music grew into a curatorial experiment with the visual culture that surrounded him. We moved to Chelsea in 2005, with an eye towards honoring and connecting with the history and context of Post War art. In 2014, the gallery opened a second space on the ground floor of 557 West 23rd Street. We contribute to the dialogue by challenging the conventions of the canon — exploring the terrain of the high/low and everything in between. Our success in nurturing the careers of Shepard Fairey, Invader, Olek and others motivates us to continue being the voice for this cultural shift. The catalogues we publish, prints we distribute, and museum shows we help to produce reflect our dedication to our artists and community. At the same time, we aim to create an accessible and engaging gallery space. http://jonathanlevinegallery.com

Incredible! That is the best way to describe the past week in Los Angeles for the STR team.
Tonight we'll share with you our visit last Friday to CHLA and the joy you brought to this wonderful group of caregivers. Presenting your $2,000 check for the Literally Healing program was an amazing experience.
Most of you were able to see/hear #Castle panel at 'Paley Center for Media" LIVE on Monday night right along with us. So, we'll just share our fun experiences outside prior to the event. Think you might enjoy hearing how we eluded "zip tie cuffs"!
Just before the STR Round Table we'll take you through our fan experience on the red carpet attending the CBGB Premiere in Hollywood. Miah had a bird's eye view to see everything and everyone.
The STR Round Table tonight will be focused on "Dreamworld" and not "Need To Know".. So, you might want to catch a quick rewatch before STR tonight to refresh your memory. Hope to "see" you tonight.. it seems like for-ev-er since we've talked.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" episode of #Castle was definitely worth the 2 week wait. Hope you were able to watch it LIVE on ABC last night. If not, please watch your DVR copy today and/or via WatchABC at abc.com/Castle if your cable provider is listed.
In this episode, Castle & Beckett find themselves returning to one of Castle's High School alma maters in search of finding out more information that might lead them to the killer of one of the students. Instead, they learn wayyyy more than they anticipated about various other hidden [possible] student talents ~ "telekinesis-ly" speaking. #SLTS was written by [husband/wife writing team] Chad Gomez Creasey & Dara Resnik Creasey and directed by Kevin Hooks. Plus, key Caskett decisions are made in this episode for their future life together. *smiling BIG :D
After the News and a tiny glance at the Ratings [hey, Castle did pretty darn good up against the Olympics], we'll open up our phone/skype lines to you. We promised Elena last week we would hold off one week on our STR Round Table for this fun "Smells Like Teen Spirit" episode Q&A so she would NOT miss out participating while on vacation, but we still want to give each of you an opportunity to tell us [quickly] anything you just can't wait till next week to share tonight.
We have a bit of a treat for our callers tonight.Miah & Lewis have come up with a creatively amusing way to have some fun tonight while we have the opportunity. Hope you'll join in. "See you" tonight!

Caskett [relation] shipper?! Then this episode is a definite must-see. Hope you were able to watch last night’s episode of #Castle LIVE entitled “Dressed To Kill”. Each of those heartfelt conversations between Caskett along with the “Devil Wears Prada Miranda-ish” ‘Matilda King’ were beautifully/creatively written by Elizabeth Beal and directed by Jeannot Szwarc. This episode introduced us to a bit of Beckett’s past [15 minutes of] modeling days with and awkward reminisce moment[s] to Rick’s happy surprise. If you’ve DVR’d this episode, please watch it again so it will count in the ratings [thank you in advance].
At the beginning of tonight’s show we will announce the summer date of our first “fan meet up” ~ StanaFanFest2014. Then, just after the news, Arlene will share a bit on a special art project you may be interesting in. The latest ratings are next and will lead right into the STR Round Table where [hopefully] you’ll want to share your thoughts last night's episode .
Here are tonight’s open~ended questions in advance so you can formulate your thoughts before the show:
Hope to "see you" tonight!!

The "Limelight" episode of #Castle seems to have tied up some loose ends for the Richard Castle family nicely. While Rick doesn't know the extent of his "helping", we the audience made some new discoveries in this episode for two of the "loves of his life", Alexis and Beckett. And yes, we all did noticed the order of his phone "favorites" ;)
So what are YOUR thoughts about last night's episode written by @RobHanning and directed by Bill Roe? We'd love to hear 'em! After the 'STR News Team' [Miah/Lewis] help keep us up to date on the very latest, we'll hear the second part of our 'STR Fan Spotlight' from last week. Then a quick review of the Final Ratings [tvbythenumbers.com] and quickly clear our [virtual] table for each of you to offer up YOUR thoughts about the last night's episode ~ which might even change/enhance a few minds about what we saw/learned.
Tonight's "Limelight" questions for you contain multiple key story threads fans have throught [and in some cases anguished over] during the first half of Castle Season 6, here are Elena's STR Round Table questions for you to be thinking ahead:
BONUS:People's Choice was very kind in releasing today [Jan 21st] an interview with Stana backstage and YES! we are very much "still reveling in star Stana Katic's win for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress". Please go to this link to see/read more about it:

Rock group with orchestration and intricate melodies that both uplift and inspire, while lyrically revealing a refreshing level of social awareness. Think Dave Matthews meets The Script with a dash of Third Eye Blind and Matchbox 20
Mike will join Take 2 Radio Music on Friday, Jan. 31st at 3pm EST
