Join me as I welcome authors of Footsteps of a Forgotten Soldier: The Life and Times of David Carll. Francis S. Carl and Denice Evans Sheppard are the descendants of David Carll, and they will share their latest book about David Carll’s fascinating and powerful American story. Tune in to take a remarkable journey, in the footsteps of a forgotten soldier.
At a time in American history when slavery was still practiced in many Southern states during the Civil War, thousands of free hard working black men from the state of New York answered the call of duty once a colored regiment had been authorized in the state of New York. One such young man who answered the call was David Carll, from the town of Oyster Bay, New York. At the age of eighteen he would set out on a Journey that would take him from the small village where he was born and raised into the deep south behind Confederate enemy lines in South Carolina while assigned to the 26th United States Colored Troop Regiment. One hundred and fifty years after the Civil War ended, the story of this one soldier will be told by his descendants. Records compiled from the National Archives in Washington DC, as well as records from many other reliable sources including oral history from David Carll's grandchildren makes this story possible. What was uncovered in the research was a remarkable story that seemed to rise up from the very soil David Carll stood on. For more information about David Carll visit www.davidcarll.com
PWTorch assistant editor James Caldwell hosts the Raw Post-Game Show with PWTorch columnist Greg Parks breaking down the show with live calls and emails to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I was writing a character redemption fic for the 2015 Nano then the character went and redeemed himself on the show... Now I've lost the drive to finish my story because canon satisfied me.
Also, Civil War is later this year and I'm definitely scared to see cause it's messing with my OTP.
So, here's my question - have you ever been cock blocked by canon? Are there ways to work around or push through it? Is it okay to just let the story go if you've lost the passion for it?

As a writer, and wedding DJ music has inspired me to write heartfelt stories and tragic poems. I have seen how the words of songs can affect the sick and depressed, and how a stirring movie score can make or break a movie scene. Music tells the story of the songwriter and the world around them. It lives with us and inside of us. Music calls people to praise God, and asks you to question accepted norms. Throughout the history of music, songs have been with us in times of war and peace, in school and when we fall in and out of love. Your favorite song always holds a place in your heart, and as this world changes so does our music. Join the BigEfromMo show on sudden impact online radio network, as host Erik Harper takes you on a musical journey. See where your favorites rank all time and find out about some you should know but probably don't. More songs will be played on this show than ever before. At 10pm CST.
Come sing along, and remember where you were when that song came on your car radio. Or rememeber when your mom and dad listened to that song over and over again, and now that song is stuck in your memory.
