On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles we'll discuss Carl Edwards' move to Joe Gibbs Racing. The worst kept secret in the garage area was made official today. Carl Edwards will drive the number 19 Arris Toyota in 2015. We'll talk about how this move affects JGR as a whole organization, right down to the development drivers they have, and who gets affected by this the most.
Also, we'll talk about changes to the Sprint Cup Series schedule as announced by Jim Noble yesterday. For the 3rd time in 11 years, the Labor Day weekend date will change again... Where to? Well "RIGHT WHERE IT SHOULD BE." Back to Darlington, South Carolina. It won't move again, that's for sure.
This weekend's events are at Bristol Motor Speedway; Triple-header action with the Trucks, Nationwide, and Sprint Cup. We'll talk about those events as well.
On the shiow, we will hear from Sonoma race winner Carl Edwards!
We will also have Kate's Song of the Week, and the segments "Things that make ya go hmmm..." and "Need to know with Niemeyer" with CLNS columnist Adam Niemeyer.
See you 7-8pmEST for the fastest show on the radio
The guys are keeping Frat House Sports Garage open a bit later this evening with last-minute tuning that needs to be done before Saturday night's NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway.
It seems like it’s been weeks since the last race. Guess that’s because it has been. So, they’re recapping the Martinsville race which saw the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas run very well with Denny Hamlin taking the checkered. The “Pesky boys” took 2nd and 3rd, and don’t look now, but Danica Patrick came in the top-10.
Everything’s bigger in Texas. Does that mean it will be big for Roush-Fenway with the opportunity to get back on the radar or will it continue to be dominated by Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, or two-in-a-row for Denny Hamlin?
Uncle Mark Goes Over the Wall just don’t throw your tools – that’s a pit road penalty; we’re already talking about 2016 rules packages; and is NOW the time to talk about Danica in F-1? Frat House Mike previews this week’s NHRA doings in “Sin City” – Sidekick’s got his Fantasy picks sure to succeed; and, the Frat House Gang’s Eat-My-Dust Picks!
No coffee and donuts needed today – more like, you bring the pizza, they’ll provide the beer and be sure to put extra cheese and pepperoni on it for the guys parked right now over in the Frat House Sports Garage . . . oh, and be sure to give them a call at 347 - 826 - 9964!
CARL CREW is an American actor, screenwriter, author, artist and co-proprietor of the North Hollywood nightclub California Institute of Abnormal Arts. He has been called "the P.T. Barnum of Burbank Boulevard" by the LA Times, and in annual press polls by LA Weekly & other journalists his CIA club is consistently voted the most popular and unique nightclub in LA. His chilling & nuanced performance as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the controversial film Jeffrey Dahmer: The Secret Life was critically acclaimed.
Carl grew up in the theater. At 18, he turned his talents to another kind of show and became a mortician. His club contains many freak show attractions. A stuffed Pighuahua, half pig, half Chihuahua. A two-headed baby in a jar. A haunted painting which was stolen on Halloween. And the remarkable mummified Alligator Boy, which Carl, as a mortician, swears is not a fake. Its the mystery of the sideshow, says Carl. The mystery of deformed people. We want to stare. We want to know what makes them different. These pickled and petrified oddities, in the entrance, the bar, the outdoor garden, are but an overture to the unique performances held on the main stage that draw celebrities & curious seekers to the iconic venue. Come one, come all, come just as you are.

Start your Sunday NASCAR race day the right way . . . with the guys in the Frat House Sports Garage giving you all the latest news and chat and taking calls before green flag today at Bristol Motor Speedway.
(1) It seems the penalties for messing with the tires of the #31 have, for the most part, been upheld against Richard Childress Racing and Ryan Newman. (2) Kyle Busch seems to have shed his bad-boy “Rowdy” persona as he appeared before the media and provided his timetable for return. (3) Jimmie Johnson got his second win of the season at Texas Motor Speedway, but Martin Truex Jr. might just be the next winner as he nailed-down his seventh Top-10 in seven races! (4) David Ragan has been more than a suitable replacement for Kyle Busch keeping the Joe Gibbs Racing #18 in the #10 spot in the standings. So, why would JGR consider going to Erik Jones?
This week it’s time to go short-tracking and “Bristol Stomping” at The Bullring of Bristol Motor Speedway and THAT always poses its own special hazards.
Uncle Mark is going Over the Wall; Sidekick’s got his Fantasy picks; and the rest of the guys are jumping in with their Eat-My-Dust Picks!
As usual, they got the coffee going . . . YOU bring the donuts . . . and your comments to the Frat House Sports Garage . . . by giving them a call at 347 - 826 - 9964!
