Indians In The Caribbean: Can Racial Unity Exist Amidst Ethnic Domination?

    in Women

When an ethnic group migrates to another country, the group brings its language and culture, which includes food, clothing, and religion. This can be an opportunity for sharing information and learning about one another's history. Or it can create an unpleasant clash of cultures and a hostile power struggle, depending upon how each side views and treats the other. Tony Jones, Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice and Development Inc., is also Chairman of the National Unity Commission which has been tasked to investigate impediments to unity in Guyana. Today, he'll take a look at the Indianization of the Caribbean. What do we do when immigration creates a clash of cultures and a struggle for dominance? How can we create unity through mutual respect

European white men claim to be creator God superior to Blank man

    in Music

The World and Africa” by W.E.B Du Bois

The Eurocentric anthropological grouping titled “African Traditional Religion” is a misnomer, but some acknowlege this while still drawing arguments from it. It assumes a unitary portrait of the religions of African people, as well as denying that "world religions" can form "traditions" in African lives; especially when Islam and Christianity in Africa pre-date many modern ATRs.

Just as Europe launched forward to a new civilization of beauty, a new freedom of thought and religious belief, a new demand by labor to choose their work and enjoy its fruit, uncurbed greed rose to seize and monopolize the uncounted treasure of the fruit of labor. Labor was degraded, humanity was despised; the theory of “race” arose. There came a new doctrine of universal labor: mankind was of two sorts—the superior and the inferior; the inferior toiled for the superior were the real men, the inferior half men of less.  Among the white lords of creation there were “lower class” resembling the inferior darker folk. In line with this conviction, the Christian Church, and protestant, at first damned the heathen blacks with the “curse of canaan,”then held out hope of freedom through “conversion,” and finally acquiesced in a permanent statues of human slavery. Luxury and plenty for the few and poverty for the many was looked upon as inevitable in the course of nature. In addition to this, it went without saying that the white people of Europe had a right to live upon the labor and poverty of the colored people of the world.

Turkey, Russia say they're not going to war (Second Coming Watch Update #790)

    in Christianity

    1. Turkey and Russia promised on Wednesday not to go to war over the downing of a Russian fighter jet, leaving Turkey’s still-nervous NATO allies and just about everyone else wondering why the country decided to risk such a serious confrontation.

    2. Marine Gen. John Kelly, the top U.S. general in South America says that Caribbean nationals from multiple islands have left their native lands to join the terror group called the Islamic State.

    3. Two Palestinians were shot and killed in separate incidents Thursday in the West Bank as Israel announced plans to build a new fence near the flashpoint city of Hebron in an effort to contain a two-month spate of violence.

    4. Russia announced plans on Wednesday to deploy long-range surface-to-air missiles at its air base near the Syria-Turkey border to destroy any target that threatens its warplanes in the area — an angry response to Turkey’s downing of a Russian fighter jet, which raised fears of a direct clash between Russia and NATO.

    5. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday expressed solidarity with the Palestinians by encouraging them to keep fighting Israel while Iran pledges to "defend [their] movement in any way" they can.

You can read these stories in more detail and get more prophecy-related news at SecondComingHerald.com.

The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Isaiah 10:20-23: "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth..."

Our second coming quote for today is from John Bunyan. He said, "Let the Lord’s return encourage the saints to hope, and to rejoice in hope of the glory of God, notwithstanding present tribulations..."

The Code of Hammurabi is still studied by historians and students for its contri

    in Music

The Code of Hammurabi was written by King Hammurabi, who began ruling the Babylonian Empire in about 1800 BC. Hammurabi came to power using his strengths as a military leader, conquering many smaller city-states to create his Empire. Hammurabi believed that the gods appointed him to bring justice and order to his people, and he took this duty very seriously. Not long after his ascent to power, he created his Code, 282 laws written to define all relationships and aspects of life in the kingdom. The laws were displayed in a public place so that all the people could have the opportunity to study them. The laws applied to everyone, though application of the laws and punishment differed according to social class. The punishments for disobeying the laws were swift and harsh, further encouraging compliance. The form of the Code of Hammurabi is significant in the way that it is written. The simple language used to write the Code allowed the average member of Babylonian society to understand the expectations placed on them. Each of 282 laws was written separately with specific examples of indiscretions that were illegal, and the precise form of punishment that would occur. Beauty arises in the stillness-being present and mini 3 card tarot readings..

    in Spirituality

On my recent vacation to the Caribbean - Cozumel, Belize and Rotane Hondarus.

I found this to be very magical and shifted me in many ways. In Belize I found that the plants in this beautiful place- most of the plants can be made into medicines that are used to help heal a variety of ailments. ( I will only talk about 2 on my show, so many plants used for medicinal purposes are so very helpful and healing. (1 - Snake Plant- this plant is used for snake bite- the Belizeans are taught to identify the species of snake life on the island- types of coral snakes and many venomous snakes. This aids in the slowing of the venom, until a hospital can be reached. 2) Gravola tree - (Sour Sap). Soursap is the fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering, evergreen tree native to Mexico, Cuba, Central America, the Carribean islands of Hispaniola and Puerto Rico are only some of where this is found. this can save lives, fill up hopes and build confidence.

Have you ever gazed into the starry night or into space on a clear night: awestruck by the absolute stillness and inconceivable vastness of it.

Have listened, truly listened to the sound of a mountain stream in the forest, or to the sound from birds.

To become more aware of these things, the mind needs to be still. You may at times have to put your foot down for a moment your personal baggage of problems, of past and future, as well as all your knowledge; otherwise, you will see but not se, hear but not hear. Your total presence is needed.

Would it be there without your presence? Go deeply into it. Find out for yourself.
