Strategies on How to Maximize your Goals

    in Entrepreneur

Sheronda Barksdale will be our guest on Monday and will share powerful tools for entrepreneurs. Sheronda L. Barksdale is an author, entrepreneur, life empowerment coach, and speaker. She specializes in spiritual and personal growth, stress management, time management, relationship coaching and motivation for teens and adult women. Sheronda graduated from Atlanta Metropolitan College with High Honors in 2009 with associate degrees in Sociology and Business Administration. She then graduated in 2011 from Atlanta Christian College (now known as Point University) with High Honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Human Services. After being strengthened through many traumatic life experiences, from sexual assaults, to her 1-year-old suffering a traumatic brain injury, Sheronda uses her strengths to encourage others to be empowered by their pain. Mrs. Barksdale’s most recent contribution to her work as an author is her book, Fearless Prayer. Fearless Prayer helps the reader identify fearful places within them, shows them how to distinguish the moments when they approach God filled with doubt, and goes on to teach the reader how to pray fearlessly. Sheronda is currently working as a life empowerment coach to encourage women and teens ages 14-18 to define their goals in life, eliminate any negative mindsets that may hinder their desire to grow, and learn the necessary skills to lead a focused and passion-driven life.

LEARNING TO OPERATE IN LOVE NO MATTER WHAT

    in Relationships

We will be discussing the importance of learning that operating in love does not stop just because things happen that is uncomfortable to us, or because we are hurt, disappointed or feeling helpless or persecuted in our relationships. We need to understand that the people in our lives are not the problem, it is the spirits in them that we are up against, and these principalities have to be dealt with through spiritual things. Anytime we refuse or resist to operate in love, we are operating with the same force as these spirits and therefore giving them full reign over ourselves and others. But when we choose to operate in love, we exhibit light and salt in the earth to those who are of this earth, so that they can see witnesseses of God's love. If we fall into the same reactions of those who persecute us, and don't learn to operate in love, how will anyone know that we are God's Children?

    Matthew 5:11-12 (KJV)

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

    Matthew 5:11-12 (MSG)

11-12 “Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit Me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

"Go To Your Virtual Room! Discipline By Social Media?"

    in Lifestyle

    SPONSORED BY: RESUMES FOR CHRIST

Parenting is a hard job, especially in today's society. Government interference, lax laws, unfair "correctional" institutions and the ever-powerful loss of the village has altered the rights and disciplinary options a parent has in raising their children. As a result, a new alternative has been utilized by many parents--humiliating their children via social media outlets such as Facebook and Instagram. This is the method where parents are giving their children ridiculous haircuts on video and  sending them to school, or making their underaged children confess on video their real age and expose their forms of punishment on video with their parents narrating the "truth" about their identity on video to inform the world who they are truly dealing with. Perhaps this method was pioneered by the uncle of 16-year-old Michael Taylor,(the man who tried to save his nephew from joining a gang by telling the world on video that his nephew was just a regular kid and then proceeded to spank him on video for the world to see), or perhaps the consistent subliminal fear of arrest or other repercussion by the government fuels it. Whatever the reason, is this method a good one? And should the gvernment then have a right to intervene? Join in tonight with your thought at 10:30 PM by calling 347-327-9967.
