    Sacred Sunday~Romans 3/Everyone Sins-Everyone Needs Jesus

    in Christianity

Good morning church! Thank you for joining us today! Today we are reading:

    Romans Chapter 3:

It's not that Paul's saying that being a Jew who follows Jewish law and is circumcised is not a big deal, because it totally is. It's great actually! Twenty points to the children of Israel!

Paul tells us that the Jews were the first people God shared his wisdom and laws with, so he knows they're cool in the Big Guy's eyes.

Sure, it's true that some Jewish people have been unfaithful to God over the years. For example: there are all those Jews who still stubbornly refused to believe Jesus is the messiah. (Not cool, according to Paul.)

But everyone lies. Everyone sins. No one really knows God. Way to bring us down, Paul. The good news is this doesn't make any difference to God. The crappiness of the world just reveals how awesome God actually is. Sweet.

Again, Paul stresses that Jews and Gentiles are on the same footing. No one gets a head start in the race to salvation.

This is basically because God sent Jesus to save everyone in the entire world. Only he can help us stop being so sinful and jerky all the time.

Yes, Paul says, Jewish law tells us what sin is and that's super important. (So, don't chuck out those Torahs just yet, guys.)

But the most important thing now is that God has sent Jesus. This is the natural continuation of Jewish law, but it's also outside of it. Whoa, Paul's blowing our minds.

Look, basically, God is going to save everyone who believes in Jesus no matter what their background was before they came to believe. Everyone sins. That means everyone needs Jesus. It's pretty simple. Thanks to shmoop.com

What is the Greatest Gift You can Give as a Parent?

    in Spirituality

Great parenting is a factor of emulating and being TRUE to what you teach your child in the way to go. How well do you embody what you preach? This  is a factor of respect, reliability, and trust depending on how much gap or affinity exists between what you say and what you do.

How open are you in communication? What are  your reflective listening skills like? Learn what you need to teach your child. YOu can't realistically teach them what  you don't know or possess.

So learn you need to get the skills you want to teach. Common sense, caring and sharing, critical thinking skills, honesty, ability to communicate openly with your heart and head coming together...

Do you expect growth and acknowledge it's difficulties and advances? Do you lie to your child about what you think is innocuous because you think your child is essentially an empty slate and not an Intelligence in their own right?

Is your child treated as a clone? As a property of ownership?

Do you do too much for your child? Do you refuse to let your child deal with the consequences of their choices and behviors?  Do you honor accountability and thinking as a required living skills? Do you teach ot own our natural fears and help to deal with them without 'pretending they don't exist.

Do you follow your dreams and allow your children to share in its ups and downs with realistic evaluations? In doing so, you demonstrate how it is safe to pursue your potential and heart of heart ideas to be more within a wholsim of being interrelated to world, others, movements...

Are your dreams of the character building or narcissistic type? Do you reach beyond your getting and having and sports idol interests with your child?

Tearing Others Down Won't Build a Better America

    in The Bible

Tearing down others is the American way. In America today, people speak love but America's pass time is the tongue. Bridle the tongue America. Gossip is tearing America down. Speak a better America better. There's home grown and transplanted bottom feeders speaking for and to good people. Americans way of live has become one big cesspool. Falling short of the glory of God. Back biting. It's called talk, excessive talk. Anything less than work, leads to poverty. Work leads to prosperity. If American continues to grow poverty, we lose this land of opportunity into a memory of times gone by. Let us again grow prosperity not poverty! Let us again model for the children hope, peace and charity. Americans lets again do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Evaluate Americas leaders. Are people in power exhibiting love for America? Do high profile Americans express love for others? Does decision making of leaders exhibit love of people, love of land or love of money? Bridle the tongue America. The tongue is mightier than the sword.

GOD'S REST OF HIS COVENANT, Pt 7

    in Christianity

URAP - Understanding Receiving and Activating the Power of God! Teaching series..As Sons of Abraham... at the expense of our Lord and personal Savior Jesus Christ we are positioned and in pursuit of kingdom principles. A better covenant of living is what we have in Christ. In these teaching in the Book of Hebrews, we begin by seeing Christ Greater than the angels. Our covenant is with Him while angels are just ministering spirits, servants sent to minister unto those of us that are of salvation.

There yet remains a rest for us, but we must be willing to deal with our issues in order to be partakers of God's rest. We continue to expound upon Hebrews 3:10-11 and then flow into verses 12-19.
