This perhaps is considered one of the most difficult area to discipline, which is our thoughts. There is so much information out there that threatens the christian each and every day, and so at times we find ourselves slipping into a negative thinking pattern that takes us to a place we at times never intended to go. And so we simply allow those thoughts to take its course without capturing and freezing them. How can we "take every thought captive"? Maybe you're battling with the tendancy to lust, thinking evil thoughts, jealousy or anger, whatever it is we can have victory in this area. We must also help each other , before we start believing those lies of Satan and heading down towards the path of destruction.

Join Debra and her guest, Cheryl Maplethorpe, for a riveting look at a time and place in recent history that, arguably, few Americans fully comprehend, even today. A fresh-faced recent graduate from the University of Iowa (1971), Cheryl taught for three years at the American School of Kuwait. While on Christmas break with colleagues, Cheryl took a daunting detour when her plane was forced to land shortly after Yemen’s southern government adopted Marxism. There in South Yemen she was apprehended by ruffians and held captive for several weeks. You won’t want to miss her nightmarish saga as it unfolded on the home turf of Osama bin Laden’s ancestors. Originally aired on TRUTHTalk with Debra Rae in June of 2011, hers is a story that merits repeating. It's certain to keep you on the edge of your seat!
Cheryl Maplethorpe, Ph.D., has served as a Financial Aid Counselor (U of IA); Director of the Student Financial Aid Division (MN Office of Higher Education). Presently, Cheryl is employed by Globe University with 30 campuses in 5 states.
Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.
Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.
Our Special Guests for tonight's show are Dan Berger, Assistant Prof. of Comparative Ethnic Studies at Univ. of Washington - Bothell, Cindy Eigler, Dir. of Nation Inside organization and Norris Henderson, Dir. of Voices of The Ex-Offender.

Whose Insurance money is it anyway? Captive insurance is exploding in both popularity and practicality. Once reserved for only the Fortune 500, this self-insuring concept in which a company sets aside funds to act both policyholder and insuror is becoming the rsik-management solution for large and even mid-size firms. While mainstream insurance premiums soar to the stratosphere, more state legislatures are not only allowing, but fiscally encouraging captive insurance. Host Bart Jackson invites sage tax counsel Mark MacDonald as guest to examine the possibilities of captive insurance - and help you learn how to figure out the benefits, whom to select a service provider, what kind of structures to use, and what blunders to avoid.
Once thought to be reserved for only the Fortune 500, captive insurance programs are becoming more increasingly numerous, practical, and thrifty for mid-size firms. As mainstream insurance premiums head for the stratosphere, companies are opting to managing their insurable risk
The concept of a company using its own earmarked funds to establish a program in which it is both policyholder and insuror dates back to the 1950's. But now, with mainstream insurance premiums soaring to the stratosphere, and state legislatures making the process more allowed and affordable,

I SAMUEL 30: 1-25 DAVID AVENGES ZIKLAG, ZIKLAG DESTROYED BY FIRE.
vs. 1. And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South, and Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
vs. 2. And had taken the women captive that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away.
vs. 3. So David and his men came to the city, and behold it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
vs. 4. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice, and wept, until they had more power to weep.
vs. 5. And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
vs. 6. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his GOD.
vs. 7. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
vs. 8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, shall I pursue after this troop ? Shall I overtake them ?
And he answered him pursue: for thou shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. vs. 9. So david went, he and the 600 men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.
