Kathy LaTour, Editor at Large of CURE Magazine, returns for the CURE quarterly feature. While the care plan is understandably aimed at the patient, it's the caregivers who take on duties that often mirror healthcare professionals. Spouses, parents, siblings, and friends are among the millions of "angels" helping loved ones through the battle on a daily basis.
Don Vaughan says "caregivers are key to transitioning patients throughout the course of care." His recent story in CURE Magazine highlights crucial elements of caregiver responsibility and available resources to efficiently carry it out. Don Vaughan will come alongside Kathy LaTour to address the impact of care transitions on the patient and family caregivers, as well as the myriad of challenges that frequently occur.
This episode expands upon a previous conversation with founder of "The Caregiver Space", Adrienne Gruberg. Her vision come true of a virtual support network for family and professional caregivers helps them manage and cope with those ongoing challenges -- in a 24/7 format. Adrienne's experience of caregiving for both her husband and mother-in-law parallels survivor Kathy LaTour's journey in caring for and subsequently losing her mother to breast cancer.
Join us for an up-close and personal talk about what it takes to be an informed, effective team member for your loved one. Between guests Don and Kathy, and co-hosts Maryann and Rob, there will be a wealth of insight shared about the caregiver's role in battling cancer, as well as other life-altering journeys.

This show is being recorded in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but is dedicated to all cancers. As a survivor of multiple cancers, Anna can attest to how devastating a bout of cancer can be to life and livelihood!
Visit the show often. Join in the praying or just listen...
Remember, where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, so is He there. Join together with Anna. Pray that the Lord guides us on our question for a cure!
Dr. T. Simoncini, an oncologist in Rome, Italy has pioneered sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) therapy as a means to treat cancer. The fundamental theory behind this treatment lies in the fact that, despite a number of variable factors, the formation and spreading of tumors is simply a fungus. Sodium bicarbonate, unlike other anti-fungal remedies to which the fungus can become immune, is extremely diffusible and retains its ability to penetrate the tumor. This is especially due to the speed at which it disintegrates it, which makes fungi’s adaptability impossible, thus it cannot defend itself. Sodium bicarbonate is administered directly on the tumor, if possible. Otherwise, it is possible to administer it by the selective arteriography, which basically means selecting specific arteries through which to administer and subsequently begin to dissolve the tumor.

Tonight's broadcast celebrates life, love, friendship and a realization that we never know how our prayer touches other people. As George Michael states it in his song White Light "Was it music that saved me, or the way that you prayed for me!" 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Tonight we pray for one another and in this broadcast I dedicate it to my sister Maureen Rapier who has been battling cancer for many years. As it has metasticized to other areas of her body, I ask you to pray for her. It is also dedicated to my other sister Marissa Rapier, who as recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. I also remember my mother who lost her battle against ovarian cancer on this very day, 33 years ago. I find hope in the belief that we will find a cure for cancer in our lifetime. I believe that it is the prayer and faith in a greater power and love that we are able to continue to rejoice in our families and friends through the darkest of time. Hope ensures that there is a flame that continues to light the way!
