Join your host Susanne Romo, writer at www.HealingJourneyBlog.com and contributing author to the best-selling, award-winning anthology series Pebbles in the Pond: Transforming the World One Person at a Time as she interviews Catherine Johnson, owner and Certified Clinical Thermographer of Silk Thermal Imaging.
Catherine worked in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry for over 18 years. For 10 of those years she was a freelance medical writer who focused on the field of pre-clinical research for the largest pharmaceutical company in the world.
In July of 2009 she launched her thermal imaging practice as she feels that this little-known, life-saving technology needs to be brought to the forefront of diagnostic options for detecting breast cancer. Catherine knows that this technology can save lives and spare women the devastating emotional, physical and financial ruin that comes with a breast cancer diagnosis.
Catherine can be reached at www.SilkThermalImaging.com, email@example.com or 619-788-6785

Irisha Johnson, the mother of Rayne Johnson tells her story. Rayne like most 13-year-old teenage girls: loves music, her friends, her two sisters, laughing at funny jokes, and she works hard at her classes at school. However, her normal teenage life was turned upside down about a year ago when she began to experience discomfort in her throat and diagnosed with a rare form of oral cancer called Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma. The tumor was fast growing, aggressive and subjected 13-year old Rayne to 30 rounds of radiation treatment. Irisha shares her experience as she supported and cared for her child during this time. A Mother's Love is endless and Irisha tells all during this podcast.
In this episode, we talk with Boston-based educational consultant Michele Rosenthal (Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs at Sawyer Business School, Suffolk University) about navigating cancer and the college experience and the art of finding appropriate on-campus resources. Survivor Spotlight on young adult survivor Mallory Casperson (Founder/CEO at Lacuna Loft.)
Insulin Potentiation Therapy is an alternative medical procedure used to treat cancer and other chronic degenerative diseases. Developed and researched for over 80 years, IPT works on curing the body without damaging the body’s natural defenses. Unlike traditional chemotherapy, it does not leave the body in a weakened condition, defenseless and unable to undergo the deep healing process necessary for complete recovery.
It started with the first Garcia, Donato Perez, Sr. a medical doctor and not in the best of health. He suffered from anemia and malnutrition for a number of years, ignoring his own health to care for the many medical needs of his patients. Until his condition affected his profession when he became sluggish and started losing weight due to loss of appetite and severe gastrointestinal problems. He began to use IPT and within weeks was feeling better and regained his strength. He began to explore how IPT could treat other chronic conditions and most importantly, how it could be used as a treatment for Cancer.
We have the distinct pleasure of interviewing Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, Jr. a third generation medical doctor who specializes in IPT. This treatment was invented by his grandfather and then developed by his Father. He has applied over 26,000 treatments to patients worldwide over a span of 25 years.
