To be or not to be is the question to be asked of anyone wanting to have a life of responsibilities and rewards. We sre humsn beings, having the most excellent nature created, but we have to appreciate this nature and show our appreciation to THE CREATOR, THE ONE GD, THE ALMIGHTY!! The population that currently exists in and on this planet callled earth and moves about in space does not show enough appreciation. We hear about great things being done by many individuals, but not enough to cancel out the ugliness. Take a deep breath and say with me G-D IS GREATER AND ALWAYS IN CHARGE!!!!
Join Vaccine Author and Researcher Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, D.O. and Vaccine Rights Attorney Alan Phillips, J.D. as they discuss how a small number of overly-aggressive pro-vaccine advocates caused Sherri to cancel upcoming speaking engagements in Australia; how measles deaths compare to measles vaccine injuries and deaths; how attitudes about measles changed radically from pre-vaccine to post-vaccine days; why some doctors think getting measles and other childhood infectious diseases is actually desireable and beneficial; how the use of vaccines to attempt to eliminate measles has actually resulted in a disasterous trade-off; and more! Amy Alkon's Advice Goddess Radio: "Nerd Your Way To A Better Life!" with the best brains in science.
*NOTE: "Best Of" replay (for Superbowl Sunday). Live shows again starting next Sunday, Feb 8!
Competition can be seen as ugly and divisive but it’s actually an essential element in driving us to do and be our best.
My guest tonight, New York Times best-selling science writer Ashley Merryman, will lay out the science of winning and losing, including how we can figure out the kind of competitor we are (to help ourselves avoid choking), the differences between how men and women compete, and ways to rejigger our thinking so we use competition in ways that serve us instead of defeating us.
Her excellent book, co-authored with Po Bronson, that we’ll be discussing tonight, is “Top Dog: The Science of Winning and Losing.” (Barnes & Noble ships faster.)
Join me and all my fascinating guests every Sunday, 7-8 p.m. PT, 10-11 p.m. ET, at blogtalkradio.com/amyalkon or subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher.
