    BUSINESS OR BLOOD-Peter Edwards

    in Entertainment

Until Vito Rizzuto went to prison in 2006 for his role in a decades-old Brooklyn triple murder, he ruled the Port of Montreal, the northern gateway to the major American drug markets. A master diplomat, he won the respect of rival mafia clans, bikers and street gangs, and criminal business thrived on his turf. His family prospered and his empire grew--until one of North America's true Teflon dons finally lost his veneer. As he watched helplessly from his Colorado prison, the murders of his son and father made international headlines; the killings of his lieutenants and friends filled the pages of Canadian news; and the influence of the 'Ndrangheta, the Calabrian Mafia, spread across Montreal faster than the blood of Rizzuto's crime family. In 2012, Vito Rizzuto emerged from prison, a 66-year-old man who could carefully rebuild his criminal empire or seek bloody revenge and damn the consequences. From the events leading to his imprisonment to his shocking death in December 2013, Business or Blood is the final chapter of Vito's story. Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1040

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Arnold Herman from Keansburg, NJ, a father of five, who, along with his wife, has also fostered 32 children over the years, some of them from abusive backgrounds. He is an author of two books with problem solving ideas related to teenagers, and runs "Experience Counts Inc", a non profit organization working to prevent the abuse of adolescents and teenagers by educating parents and children on ways to deal with each other without getting into abusive situations. Arnold writes, "Parenting an adolescent or teenager is without a doubt one of the toughest jobs in the world it is a 24-hour per day, seven day a week task that requires the patience of a saint, the Wisdom of Solomon, and the money of Bill Gates. By the time we get really good at it, our children have grown to adulthood." And he goes on, "The wrong kind of parenting can lead to many problems. In addition to creating a poor relationship between parent and child, it can often lead to various type of abuse. Abuse of adolescents and teenagers is a terrible, but often preventable, problem. More often then not it starts with a simple lack of communication. Then escalates to verbal and physical abuse The parents who perpetrate this type of abuse are often not bad people, but rather parents who have become frustrated in their attempts to communicate with, relate to, and control their children. Sexual abuse may also start innocently, with parents often unaware of the behavior that could lead to this terrible tragedy." Be sure to download his free handbooks: "Bring Back The Woodshed" and "Raising Reasonable Parents."

From The Front Porch with Professor Carl Tone Jones

    in History

This week on The Porch we will be interviewing Christopher Everett, writer and director of the upcoming documentary, Wilmington On Fire.....

WILMINGTON ON FIRE is a feature-length documentary that will give a historical and present day look at the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. The Wilmington Massacre of 1898 was a bloody attack on the African-American community by a heavily armed white mob with the support of the North Carolina Democratic Party on November 10, 1898 in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. It is considered one of the only successful examples of a violent overthrow of an existing government (coup d'etat) and left countless numbers of African-American citizens dead and exiled from the city. This event was the spring board for the white supremacy movement and Jim Crow Segregation throughout the state of North Carolina, and the American South. This incident is barely mentioned and has been omitted from most history books. It was not until 2006, after the North Carolina General Assembly published a report on it, that the tragedy became known to the public. The film features interviews from historians, authors, activists and descendants of the victims of the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. © 2011 Christopher Everett

Be sure to tune in this week as we discuss the next important documentary to drop as we continue unvail how the system of white supremacy sprung new roots from this act of macabre.

The ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW - Adm. James "Ace" Lyons, (US Navy Ret.)

    in Politics Conservative

On this Friday morning edition we're talking with Adm. James "Ace" Lyons (US Navy Ret.) about the President's radical extremism conference, ISIS, the MB penetration of all our federal agencies and the impact on our policies and strategy. We'll get his take on the Benghazi tragedy, and what he expects will come out of Congressman Trey Gowdy's Select Committee charged with investigating it. Adm. Lyons has speculated the death of Amb. Stevens resulted from a bungled attempt to have him kidnapped by Ansar al-Sharia to facilitate a prisoner exchange resulting in the release of Omar Abdel-Rahman.

We'll get his views on Iran's nuclear program and his participation in the recent Center for Security Policy's Defeat Jihad Summit.

James Aloysius "Ace" Lyons, Jr. is a retired Admiral who served as Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet from 1985-87. He served in the Navy for 36 years, including as Sr. US Military Representative to the UN and Dep. Chief of Naval Operations.

He's a graduate of the US Naval Academy and received post grad degrees from the US Naval War College and the US National Defense University. He is the CEO of LION Associates.

Lyons has claimed the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated every US security agency under the Obama presidency and alleges that John Brennan, Director of the CIA, was a Muslim convert. Lyons alleges that the MB is planning to start a political party to influence American domestic politics.
