Nite Callers Bigfoot Radio Presents: Florida Researcher Pat Rance

    in Paranormal

Gearing down for the Christmas holidays, Nite Callers bring you the last show of the year. Continuing the series of the North American Sasquatch Researcher, we welcome good friend and veteren Bigfoot researcher Pat Rance.

What started out as an elusive hobby for Pat Rance has virtually turned into an obsession to hunt the elusive Bigfoot that has been sighted in the Green Swamp of Florida at least 10 or more times in the last several years. Pat Rance actually came face to face with the creature in a dramatic night time encounter in Sumter County. In April 2006, along with three other researchers, Pat set up camp in the swamp southwest of Clermont. Having seen foot prints in the area as large as 18 inches long and 9 inches wide, they baited the campsite with a box of pancakes covered in syrup. When they later found more tracks and the pancakes were eaten, they knew they were in the right spot. " It was nighttime and I was returning to the main camp with a friend." Pat recalls. " We heard sudden movement in the trail immediately in front of us and I looked up to see a large creature jump off to the side of the trail. It was about 30 feet away and with my flashlight shining on it I could see this round head and massive shoulders above the tops of the palmettos. I went to raise my night vision glasses to my eyes and the creature jumped back onto the trail and quickly ran ahead of us and disappeared into the night. As we passed the spot where he'd been standing, I could smell maple syrup. I was totally awestruck. It happened soi fast I really didn't have time to be scared. I was surprised and elated at the same time. It was so satifying to finally see the creature I had been hearing about and hunting." To hear this story and  other experiences from Pat Rance, be sure to tune in tonight for a celebration of Christmas and some really amazing stories.

    in Fun

Join Elusive1 & Henry May as they welcome Tammy Lynn Chinander to the show.  Tammy a wife, mother, four year Bible college graduate and now a Pastor of a online Christian webpage. As a child I heard stories about bigfoot and to tell you the truth I was a bit afraid. On the farm in grew up on there was this hut like thing that my dad as a child just left alone. Well not my brother or I we found black hair in there and at that time didnt think much of it. today I could kick myself for not keeping it but who knew. When Finding Bigfoot first aired on tv I started watching it and got to thinking the sounds ive been hearing at this river campsite my dad owned sounds like what there talking about. The year i decided to record the noises my dad sold the property so never got a chance. That same year while driving threw a river reserve my friend Katey was driving and she looked in her rear view mirror and seen a bigfoot cross the road as i turned to look i seen a black shadow going into the woods. I joked with her about that till last summer while camping in the reserve we had vistors. First night wood knocks and what sounds like coyote's but being raised on a farm all my life i knew my animal sounds. That wasnt any coyote i ever heard. The next morning we went on a hike found these huts the first one i believe was man made but the other three were not. My daughter Malina was with me and the furtherst hut away she show a bigfoot working on it when i seen the look on her face i knew as i turned and she took off chasing it once again i only saw that black shadow. Sounds very exciting so mark it down & se y'all there. SQUATCH ON!!!!

THE PAROLE OF MASS MURDERER DAVID ENNIS-Tammy Arishenkoff

    in Entertainment

In August 1982, in Kelowna, British Columbia David Shearing shot grandparents George and Edith Bentley and parents Bob and Jackie Johnson at their campsite in Wells Gray Park. The sole purpose of these murders was to give him access to the two Johnson daughters Janet, age 13 and Karen, age 11 for purposes of rape, molestation and torture. He held the girls captive for almost a week and then murdered them as well. He put the bodies of the girls in the trunk of the family car with the four adults in the back seat, and set the car on fire - leaving the bodies nearly unidentifiable.

A hearing was set for September 4, 2014 to give consideration for day  and full parole for Ennis. If day parole were granted, he would be allowed to live in a halfway house. If full parole were granted, he would be allowed to live in the community. Ennis was denied parole in 2008 and in 2012 for numerous issues, including a diagnosis of phychopathy.

Tammy Arishenkoff attended school with the young girls and worked with the victim's family to organize an on-line petition drive to deny David Ennis' parole; sending the following to the parole board in Ottawa:

We, the undersigned, feel that the release of David Ennis, formerly David Shearing, into the community would jeopardize the safety of all citizens, but more importantly our children. As well, the heinous nature of his crimes should preclude any possibility of release.

Tammy Arishenkoff and her followers strongly urged the Parole Board of Canada to once again deny parole to this murderer at the upcoming hearing September 4, 2014. This is what happened. THE PAROLE OF MASS MURDERER DAVID ENNIS-Tammy Arishenkoff

    SC EP:33 Frightening Dogman Encounter

    in Science

A listener wrote us with a frightening dogman encounter that happened in 1972 while camping. The creature(s) entered the campsite late at night growling, throwing rocks and surrounded their campsite. The experience still haunts this listener today. She has heard of Bigfoot/Sasquatch but the description of those creatures did not match until years later when she came across information about the dogman.

Starborn Support Radio! - Jim Weiner and Chuck Foltz (Allagash Abductions)

    in Paranormal

On August 26, 1976, four men, Charlie Foltz, Chuck Rak, and twin brothers Jim and Jack Weiner, all friends who met at the Massachusetts College of Art, decided to go on a camping and fishing trip up in the Allagash Wilderness in northern Maine, where Chuck had canoed the waterway on a previous trip in the summer of 1975.

The evening started out with the men building a large bonfire on the shore. They expected to be out fishing for several hours and built the fire to last so they could easily find their campsite in the dark. The four loaded a single canoe with their fishing equipment, and headed out onto the lake. They were out about a quarter-mile and had been fishing for 15 to 20 minutes, but weren't having much luck. Then suddenly, Chuck saw something coming up over the trees, and draw everyone else's attention. The men had seen a UFO on a previous night and were even more excited to see a bright pulsating light about 150 to 200 yards away. Jim Weiner has described the object as a bright, round, yellow/white light, that hovered silently above the treetops.

Charlie decided to attempt to try to signal the object with a flashlight they had brought. He flashed three short, three long, and again three short flashes, and immediately, the object seemed to take notice, and came towards them. They became frightened and frantically rowed for the bank. As they paddled as fast as they could, a hollow light came from the object, engulfing the men and their canoe. The next thing the men knew, they were standing on the bank again.

Race, Rule and Ruin: A conversation with Geoff Kabaservice

    in Politics

While the ignorant are condemned to merely repeat history, the historian suffers a kind of dual condemnation. Not only must he repeat history along with the rest of us, but he must do so with full knowledge of the implications of our mistakes - sort of like being a character in a movie for which one knows the plot. The historian knows that we will need a 'bigger boat' before we go out on the small one. He knows that the idyllic campsite  is actually the hunting ground of a sadistic killer before the weekend romp begins. The historian knows that the monster will break its leash and turn on its creator whether that  monster be Frankenstein or infected zombies or the Tea Party, which brings me to Mr. Kabaservice and his book 'Rule and Ruin'.

"Rule and Ruin" chronicles the far right conservative takeover of the Republican Party and the subsequent decline of the moderate Republican. Prior to the 1960s the Republican Party was somewhat ideology diverse , often challenging Democrat excesses or inaction in areas like national defense, civil liberties and civil rights but the. Republicans had been isolationist through much of the 1930s, balking at the notion of involving the US in another European war. By the 1960s the Republican presidential candidate was entertaining the idea of using nuclear weapons against the Viet Cong. Republicans challenged Woodrow Wilson's Sedition Act 1918, arguing that it was unconstitutional. By the early 1970s the Republican president was spying on all kinds of protest groups. Republicans were instrumental in passing the first Civil Rights bill since Reconstruction in 1957, but by 1964 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. considered a vote for the Republican presidential candidate to be "suicidal".

The decline of moderation has implications for us today. Geoff was kind enough to speak with me at length about his book. I hope you enjoy.

Some of us will be paddling the entire route. Some expedition members will be joining us for 1-2 weeks.

THIS WILL BE A CHALLENGING TRIP! We will be paddling 50+ Kilometers most days. We expect it will take us 5 weeks to get to Washington DC. Our team members will need to be prepared to paddle long and far in fair and foul weather.
