He hails from Sacramento California. He goes by the name of BUENO. He was raised in the mean streets of South Sacramento in the Meadowview Carella Gardens Low Income Housing. This future Hip-Hop extraordinaire has been perfecting his craft for over a decade. Nothing could stop this lyricist from his one true love, Hip-Hop. Former high school basketball superstar and college graduate, BUENO could no longer ignore his identity in the entertainment business.
In 2001 BUENO formed Noyz Music Group with Michael “Yogi” Stewart, George Foreman Jr. and now Co-CEO Lavega Sims. Noyz Music Group continues to work aggressively to get BUENO’s music heard around the world. BUENO’s approach to music is to help open the eyes of the masses to the realities of those people who struggle with inner city life. It is their stories and personal experiences which drives his aggressive approach and his determination to bring Hip Hop back to its purest form. He credits his musical influences as being 2Pac, NWA, Scarface, Slick Rick, Biggie and Run DMC.
By 2003, the buzz about BUENO had created a strong following in the Northern California area. His first nationally distributed project, Change The Game (NMG), dropped in 2003. It featured fellow Northern California Hip-Hop icons such as E-40, Keak Da Sneak, and the late great Mac Dre. It was considered an instant regional classic. BUENO has opened up for acts like David Banner, Rick Ross, K-CI and JoJo, Mac Dre, Xzibit, Jaheim, E40, Suga Free, Keak Da Sneak and others.

Miss Diamond Hottopics is a native from Detroit, Michigan. She made her move to California in 2012 for a different start. She has produced and hosted a variety of radio shows for metro Detroit for over six years. Her works such as “Super Saturday with Tracey McCaskill”, “Mix Health Matters”, and “Girl Bye” at ClearChannel Communications for Mix 92.3 and FM 98 WJLB adds to her professional accolades as a producer/show host at 2 of Detroit’s #1 radio stations. Known to loyal listeners as the “Super Producer” and “Miss Diamond Hottopics” this dynamic public speaker fell in love with radio, production, and public speaking at a young age. Capitalizing her gift of “gab” she migrated from grabbing mic’s at events and taking public speaking engagements to becoming one of the company’s most premiered host and producers. While liking the spotlight, Miss Diamond took a love for hosting, producing, and organizing. Making sure things ran smoothly became her passion. Starting in 2006 Miss Diamond has held many positions in the radio industry. In 2008 Big Entertainment Group discovered her personality, professionalism, and drive, she was brought aboard. She was apart of “Doin It Big Radio” for 2 years as Radio Host and Producer. From there she moved on to maintain her own show called “Exclusive with Miss Diamond” on 7 Mile Radio where she supported Hip Hop and R & B, community events, and Promotional Giveaways. During that time you could also catch her guest hosting on You Tube for “The Sanz Show” for the most controversial topics the viewers wanted. Currently she is living in her new home of Natomas, California ready to give California that personality they’re missing.
Our beautiful artist from Oxnard, California has joined us on the show before this - but THIS time, Geneva Renee has big news! A Blues Alley event - showcasing that warm and glorious voice - will be held soon.
You must certainly understand that this is a big deal from a small town on the West Coast. Coming to Washington D.C., a few years ago to attend Howard University, our guest must have known that it was going to take some work to achiveve success. There are so many wonderful artists in this region! Well, she not only has achieved some enviable success - but the attention on her is something special. So far, she has performed in front of director Spike Lee and two Presidents. She won the local NBC affiliate's competition for a VIP audition - for the wildly successful TV show, "The Voice." AND Geneva has shared the stage with dozens of performers - some are household names. Diana Ross and Vanessa Williams and Hugh Jackman. We could fill a PAGE with artists!
Our mezzo soprano has a project called "Beautiful Wonder" - and some of the songs on the album have come under close scrutiny for the BEST reasons. We'll talk about that and play a few tracks. And we'll learn how her inspirations: Kathleen Battle, Yolanda Adams, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston continue to propel her. Geneva wants to keep expanding her horizons and attracting the right kind of attention. Like, for example, Grammy consideration for a song that she wrote (it happened!).
Join us for a special show on 8/21 - just an hour, starting at two p.m. Eastern - we'll get the lowdown on what makes a California Girl tick. You'll be delighted by what you'll learn :)
