Up Out of Mizraim pt2 -The Golden Calf

    in Lifestyle

Rinnah Bat Yisra'el (Donna W. Dixon) of Arizona dechipers, words, shares her thoughts and experiences concerning..... Ha'Shem's Transforming Presence of Transition of His People by Torah, and Experience.
    Shemot/Exodus 32:1, 5,6
When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the L-rd.” So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
Been made to come up out of Mizraim with The Mighty Arm of Ha'Shem.
What do we learn from this "ascent".
    What is a Golden Calf?
Why make one after all that we have witnessed in Mizraim?
How did the Patriarchs, Avraham, Yitzak and Yakov handle Mizraim??
What does this have to do with us today??
Join us as we discuss this controversial event in the History of the People Yisra'el.
    Shalom!

Gilbert House Fellowship #28: Exodus 32-36

    in Paranormal

THE ISRAELITES were an impatient bunch, weren't they? They saw the flames on the mountain and heard the thunder, indicating the presence of Yahweh, but they still insisted that Aaron create an idol for them to worship before Moses returned with the Tablets of the Testimony.

The incident of the golden calf at Mount Sinai, the presence of the Angel of Yahweh on the mountain, and the theology of the Name will be part of our study, which begins Sunday morning at 10:30 AM Central Time (UTC -5).

Humility as a weapon of warfare

    in Christianity

How can humility be a weapon of warfare?

The bible tells us in Philippians 2:5-8

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.  Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

The Lord's obedience and humility  brought salvation and everlasting life to all mankind. He conquered satan, death, hell and the grave because He humbled Himself. We, as believers, will also have victory when we humble ourselves and take up our cross.

Please join us for the study of God's word.

Proverbs 9:10 says, Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. The problem in our world is people no longer have a holy reverent fear of the Lord, even within the four walls of the church. We are living in the shadows of the days of Moses when the children of Israel needed a golden calf, the days of Abraham and Lot during the events of Sodom & Gomorrah and all the times of war in the Bible, but in a worst state than that! God is giving us the opportunity to repent for our eternal salvation...Tune in to hear a word from the Lord!!

1st Sunday Superstars - Tim Hurst

    in Motivation

Changing Minds Online Presents...1st Sunday Superstars!
These are people that changed their lives around for the better and became true inspirations!

The 1st Sunday Superstar for May is Tim Hurst, Karate Teacher and Marathon Runner.  Tim was very active as a young man. He was an avid bicyclist, runner and all around sports enthusiast. His dream was to one day teach karate at my own studio and run the Boston marathon. At age 21 while riding his motorcycle to college early one morning in May of 1981 he was struck head on by a garbage truck that turned in front of him on the highway. He had broken almost every bone in my body and was in the hospital for a year before he was released. A year after being released from the hospital he made the conscious decision to have it amputated from mid calf down. After waiting the time he needed to heal, Tim became very active again.

Unable to run with the mostly wooden prosthetic leg he had started riding bikes, lifting weights and teaching karate again. He has taught hundreds of students over the years and still continue to teach karate to this day but he still secretly dreamed of one day running the Boston Marathon. As the years passed and technology caught up, he was able to obtain one of the new "running blades". With this blade he has ran 43 marathons total in 38 different states, including the Boston and New York Marathons. He is now on a quest to run 50 marathons in 50 states. We are excited to have him share his story with us Sunday, 5/3 at 9pm EST / 8pm CST. Call in at (949) 203-4763 and hear this wonderful story. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/changingmindsonline/2015/05/04/1st-sunday-superstars--tim-hurst
