    Live Rock Solid (Joey LaRocque)

    in Sports

RockSolid is committed to making football safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Seeing a major void in player safety in so-called "non-contact" play, former NFL players have come together and designed the first head protection ever made specifically for flag football and high school off-season practice. We believe there's no such thing as "non-contact" football, and we're here to make the game as safe as parents and players expect it to be. Subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest information on player safety, and to get updates on our efforts to protect the players and protect the game!

RockSolid was founded by former NFL players Joey LaRocque and Caleb Hanie. During their playing days, Joey and Caleb saw many head injuries during flag football play, as well as during “non-contact" drills, and 7on7. When they retired from the NFL, Joey and Caleb knew this issue needed to be addressed immediately. Joey and Caleb designed this product to fill a significant void in player safety among our nation’s youth. It is our mission to make sure every child in the country is properly protected.

    Wearing the Armor of God

Israel sets the example for the faithful; within the nation were two groups, those who believed theLord and those who did not.  Because of the unbelief of the majority, the nation was forced to wander in the dusty and rocky Sinai desert for 40-years.  We (the saved), grafted into the covenant of Israel, should take notice, why did Israel fail to enter the land?  Was it because God was unfaithful? No, it was because the people would not trust Him.  Why did Israel tremble in fear at Goliath, and David boldly want to fight? In both cases, the faithful trusted the Lord, Joshua and Caleb saw God open the Red Sea, they saw Him in the cloud and fire, they knew their God.  David too, knew his God; He was more then capable of giving David victory (I Samuel 17). Before the battle took place in the field, it was in the mind.  The minds of the 10-spies were controlled by fear.  The army of Israel before the Philistine Goliath, a giant, was defeated in the mind, before on arrow flew. The battle began in the mind, just as it does for us. The armor of God gives us the ability to be victors in the battle of the mind.   Putting on the full armor of God, allows us to stand against the schemes of Satan, whose goal is to pin the faithful to the ground.   Here we stand, God’s warriors about to enter battle, how are we to wage war?  First, we must remember Paul’s instructions, we need to put on the full armor God, having done that, we need to make the conscious decision to stand.  We need to choose to stand, as opposed to being taken down by our opponent Satan.

Frat House Sports' Clean-Up Hitters #10

    in Sports

It might only be the beginning of the seventh week of the MLB season, but we’ve already seen our second managerial change and that prompts a full scale conversation among our Frat House Sports’ Clean-Up Hitters, Frat House Mike and the “Frat Boys” Sean and Caleb about managers, their significance, and Hall-of-Famers in the making.

All of this has been provoked by Miami Marlins’ owner Jeffrey Loria removing Mike Redmond in favor of the team’s GM Dan Jennings who comes from a long-line of star high-school players he managed 30 years ago!

We’ve seen some really good pitching so far this season, but not a “no-no.” Frat House Mike predicts there will not be too many this year. He provides a very compelling reason. Of course there could be fewer no-hitters in the future if Commissioner Rob Manfred gets his way and shortens the season.

We’re still talking Bryce Harper and Pete Rose as an analyst . . . and, is Montreal getting baseball back?

    This show’s so good, you’ll just “hate” it . . . if you don’t call-in and weigh-in that is . . . at 347 – 826 – 9964 along with the “Clean-Up Hitters” of the Frat House Sports Radio Network.
