WIth limited time and (let's face it) kids in the car, we've decided it's important to narrow down the best of the best.

Psychiatric illnesses do kill. More than 40,000 people in this country every year commit suicide. It is now the second leading killer of 15-24 year old, having moved ahead of homicide.

I'm Sal Lizard. I am an actor and entertainer. And I often appear at conventions to meet fans and sign autographs. One problem, that many actors have, is finding out about the conventions and how to get on the "guest" list. Likewise, fans are looking for conventions to attend, too. For that reason, I've created my "Convention Buzz" website. Also, I've learned that there are good conventions and some that aren't so good. But that's my opinion and yours might be different. This radio program igive promoters, actors, and vendors, a chance to plug and "pimp" their events and everyone to discuss their convention experiences -- good or bad.
Note: Sal Lizard's "Convention Buzz" is a weekly unscripted, unrehearsed, and uncensored entertainment show presented through the BlogTalkRadio network. Due to language used and content of an adult nature,it is not generally appropriate for all audiences. Callers are recorded and the recordings are available in the show archives. Callers may receive cash andor merchandise prizes for their participation in the show or its contests.
Shana Vonn has been a supporter of victims of Domestic Violence for over 10 years, volunteering and speaking with women affiliated with the Houston Area Women’s Center and The Santa Clarita Domestic Violence Center. Shana believes that if by sharing her journey as a domestic violence survivor reaches at least one woman that is in an abusive relationship, her job is done.
Shana holds a BA in Psychology and a M.Ed. concentrated in Counseling, so when she’s not in the classroom educating students, she is volunteering her time to help women find their voice. Shana was a Life Coach and a Relationship columnist in the Houston area, but finds her current work directly with domestic violence victims the most rewarding. Being a survivor of domestic violence herself, Shana is able to understand and relate to where these women are coming from, what they went through and the challenges they may face ahead. What Shana feels is most important for every victim of domestic violence to know is that they do have value and are worthy of the best that life has to offer. All it takes is that first step! If you can change your mind…you can change your life! She also wants to encourage those that know of or may suspect that someone is in a domestic violence situation to be their voice until they can find their own. Don’t let domestic violence go unreported. A very bad situation can turn into a fatal one in a matter of seconds.
Shana currently resides in California with her daughter Christian. She teaches Psychology at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA, and she expects to release her first self-help book by the end of 2014. Shana also recently launched her YouTube channel, “Life Lessons with Shana Vonn”, in hopes of helping millions navigate through life’s peaks and valleys.
