Do Tha Knowledge Radio Presents The Black Friday Edition with Ty Black
Peace and Black Power Family,
Welcome to special Black Friday episode of Do Tha Knowledge Radio. The place where knowledge is born. I am your host Knowledge Born Allah. The day is finally here and we have continued to rally support to place economic sanctions upon the devil's power structure. The powers that be had cotinued in a genocidal manner to eliminate black and African people wholesale in the wilderness of North America. Do Ta Knowledge Radio has the honor of documenting the struggles for Black Power with New York activist known as Ty Black. In a recent write up she is describe as, God morning Warriors. This is a great write up
"Some want to take that even further. Ty Black is a NYC-based activist who's been promoting a "Buy Black Tour" for almost a year (you can see some dope videos here, here and here). After the fatal police shooting of Akai Gurley last year, Black's response has been black unity. She thinks supporting black-owned businesses should go hand in hand with boycotting the big-chain stores that rake in holiday spending money this time of year.
"Not only should we be boycotting black Friday. We should be spending black. Not just any black businesses, the ones that support black communities and/or black products in their establishments, and hire black employees." Join us Friday 11-27-15 at 1pm PST 4pm EST as we do tha knowledge wit this Warrior Queen. Call in live at phone number 713-955-0707 with your question or comments and press #1 to speak with the host or our special guest. Black Out is in full effect. With the spending power of a $1.9 trillion dollar economy, African Americans have the ability to build businesses, own factories, employ communities, and conduct international trade with other nations. The challenge has been to harness that economic power with organized, targeted spending practices. Mark Finley, head of the Buy Black Alliance, explains how his organization's national marketing campaign and organized boycotting will direct dollars toward the business that can empower African American communities.
Dr. Webb Evans, Founder of the United American Progress Association is remembered for his slogan Buy Black. Following in the tradition of Marcus Garvey, Dr. Evans urged African Americans to spend money with other African Americans in order to build self sustaining communities. He sought to empower black owned businesses to hire black people and alleviate the problems of discrimination in hiring. He was active right up to his passing at the age of 101 years old. A few years ago, he appointed a successor, Min. Rahim Chesed Aton, known by many as "Sax Preacher" to carry on the campaign to re-educate African American consumers to "Buy Black." Do we actually have the power to solve our economic problems in our hands if we just engage in strategic spending?
The Buy Black Marketplace is a unique event designed to match skilled, talented professional African-American artists, fashion designers, crafts persons, Black Doll makers, home decorating artists with shoppers during a two day event. The goal was to recycle dollars and boost black purchasing power within the African-American coommunity. The Buy Black Marketplace took place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on December 21-22. Cyberspace Sanctuary host Junious Ricardo Stanton spoke with the buy Black Marketplace co-producers Barbara Daniel Cox and Everett Staten, actrist/author/activist Sheryl Lee Ralph, film maker and producer Bob Lott and several entreprenuer/vendors who participated in the event.
Haven't you heard? Trump wants all of the KINGS IN THE MORNING to go back to where they came from. Yeah, that would mean - no more Jay muting, no more praise and all due respect to Terrance and King James from DLW, no more HOSPITAL QUIET / LIBRARY QUIET / STUDY HALL QUIET from Johnny Davis. Do schools still have study halls? Who the heck is Jimmy Trump anyway? Where did HE come from? My imagination of course. But THE KINGS are not a frament of yours - we are REAL, and the REAL DEAL baby - join in - 347-205-9366.
THEN - Johnny Davis does his magical WEDNESDAY of the WILD - just for you! All here on the JKN!
You never see BUY ASIAN, BUY JEWISH, BUY INDIAN, or BUY WHITE campaigns encouraging ethnic or racial prosperity, yet BUY BLACK campaigns are frequently touted in the Black community. Is this double standard fair? Isn't this in fact REVERSE RACISM? How does the Black community justify this idea of race focused buying? We bring on SEAN ARMSTRONG, co-founder of the TULOKO phone app and SHAREEF ABDUL-MALIK owner of WEBUYBLACK.COM to discuss these questions and explain why they started their online companies/directories for Black-Owned Businesses. Also at the top of the 2nd Hour (11:00am) found out how 23-year old SHAREEF raised $34K through KICKSTARTER to start his company. MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America afraid to ask and "ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK."
in Self Help
I always wondered why the black communities where I grew up, were not as nice as many other communities. I found out why through studying black history around the world. I found the solution by studying Metaphysics. Yes, I think this shit is mental.
I'm choosing to talk with people that care about the black community as a whole and want to see it reach it's fullest potential. There's no better person to have this conversation with than who I affectionately call DB! One thing I know about Dabney is that he is unapologetically black. He's not anti-white, but the brother is most definitely unapologetically black and I love it.
Listen in as he helps me to get my mind right about my endeavor.
