This week your Host, Fayola Delica will be discussing what the Holiday season should be about. The question we will be answering is "so what is in it for them this holiday season?"
As we are in full gear in the holiday season, knowing right after Halloween, people get ready for the winter holiday seasons. There are many celebrating various holidays from Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas. During this season people send time with family and friends, put up holiday decorations, and buy gifts for their loved ones. Yet, the holiday should be more than just that. It should be about how do we share the holiday cheer with others who are less fortunate to do the traditional holiday fixings and celebrations. Therefore, I will be about the Christmas Challenge.
Let us not just think about ourselves, but about others. So, the Christmas Challenge is for every gift you receive, you give one to someone in need.
On that note, be a giver and not just a receiver!
Happy Holidays to you and yours. Peace and blessings!
Author and show host David Clarke is a retired social worker, a recovered alcoholic, and recovered sex addict. He has poured his years of intense experiences into his third novel, Shades of Gay. The first two were written under the pen name of Davis Aujourd'hui. They are The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude and Babes in Bucksnort. All of his novels have enjoyed rave reviews on Amazon.com.
David has found spirituality as a way to help fill the needs that could not be satisfied through his addictions. He is committed to spreading a message of hope to others which is what his radio show is all about. He is socially-minded and he wrote Shades of Gay as a way to share the pain of addiction and hope of recovery.
Davids radio show, Different Strokes for Different Folks is where you will be finding common ground and taking it to the next level. This show will encourage you to keep an open mind and prepare to open the door to new understandings. Despite all our seeming differences, you will discover we are all basically the same. Each week, there will be an exciting array of diverse guests - famous and common folk - who will point up the fact that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience.
This is a no holds barred show. It won't pull any punches. The guests will have differing spiritual belief systems and some will have no spiritual beliefs. You may or may not agree with things that are said. What you'll need to do is keep an open mind. This way, you'll see where you can find common ground so that you can relate rather than compare yourself to others. http://www.authordavidclarke.com/
What Is Control?
People crave respect. They want to be accepted for who they are in reality, rather than having to pretend to meet someone else’s criteria. When treated as an inferior, they react badly. When they feel they have to pretend, living as a picture of what another wants rather than as the person they actually are, they slowly dissolve their own identity. Some become lost and never rediscover who they were. Others deteriorate for a while, but eventually hit a point of frustration that leads to defiance, anger, and rebellion. Yet others live between those extremes.
Picture the lion or tiger in a cage snarling and slapping at the tamer making them jump through hoops and put on a show. They show their anger, but ultimately comply because they do not wish to receive punishment, and they enjoy receiving reward. The award is not equal to the freedom they once had, but over time they submit themselves to captivity and the morsels handed by the one who controls them. The whip hurts; the morsels are tasty; compliance results. At least for some of the big cats. Others likely never yield to the control of the tamer. Maybe others do for a while, but finally have enough and fight back.
Who Is the Controller?
One reason that controlling people often claim that they are controlled is that when they do not get what they want, they blame the other person. If he wants more lovemaking and she does not provide it, he views her as controlling him through sex and that may be the case. However, the difference in one who really is a controller and one who is being controlled is whether one allows the other to be who he or she truly is.
In the story that began this article, the husband controlled. He had so beaten his wife down with his arguing, intensity, and sense of self-righteousness that she had long since come to believe herself invalid.
Host Cyrus Webb welcomes recording artist Drew Copeland to #ConversationsLIVE to discuss his own success in music but what it's like to be an example and mentor to others coming up in the industry. The two also discuss the show DO I HAVE A HIT SONG on IndiMusic TV and how you can be a part of it.
All money isn't good money but it's STILL money... I watched several videos on YouTube on Jay Morrison's story and I'm impressed to say the least however, sadden that a lot of minority males don't see it, feel it or, get it. When I say, I've fallen into my role, Literally... I mean I've fallen. Women, at least women, who know the value of a comfortable home knows certain things, especially if those women had lived, been mentored by certain types of women or, learned the lesson of being there for your man...Honey, being there for others is cool but, whose there for you? Business is business and I'm having to learn love of an individual, love of business, love of yourself, love of other individuals need to be filed accordingly. You can choose to be your biggest commodity, but don't be...All money isn't good money but it's STILL money... How many who expressed outraged by last week's CRomnibus passage hve already faded back into apathy?
Worse yet, how many missed what happend with Cromnibus altogether?
Dare not shrug off politics over the holidays. Events you can help shape are coming up as soon as early January.
If nothing else, you can help rattle some of that inside-the-DC-beltway smugness your congressman brought back home to the district.
In other news, CRomnibus has opened doors for some new immigrants. No, not the walkers from Central America. The Syriian refugees the Obama adminsitration plays to fly in and resettle here. How many knew CRomnibus contained funding to resettle Syrian refugees?
And what's up with Obama's surprise announcment about normalixzing relations with Cuba? If he gets his way, how many of Castro's revolutionary guard will our president invite to immigrate as well? How many student viisas will be issued, helping deepen the Marxist bench already in place on our college and universtiy campuses?
This week's Friday Don and Doug will also focus on the increasingly unsettled international financial picture. It's not just Russia's economy going down the tubes. You might be surprised to hear who else has taken hits in recent days.
Don and Doug. Live at 1 pm EST Friday. Your participation is welcome
This is yaum al jumah, Safar 27, 1436 on the Hijrah Calendar. The hijrah calendar is based on the lunar( moon ) cycle. The moon has been followed in its travels for the human being's deThisvelopment starting from birth and even before that. The female's menstrual cycle is calculated on the moon. The gregorian calendar has its attributes which reminds the human being of gods that were worshipped throughout our human history. Throughout the hijrah calendar developmental processes occur for the human being and reminds the human being of its connection with THE CREATOR( The ONE GI-D), of heaven and earth and all between.
heaven and earth and all between. We have given credence to them by placing value upon their existence and positon of rulership over others. The months connote the power of man as greater( ex. July -Julius Ceaser and August- Augustus; Ceaser ). The examples of so called gods months are January, pertaining to god of gates/opening doors - Janus; February- pertaining to purification - Februa; March - pertaining to god of war; April for goddess Aphrodite - goddess of love /beauty; May or Maia, the great one-goddess of spring; June for Juno - goddess of marriage/well being. The original calendar had ten months prior to Julius Caeser, therefore the next months are Septem for seven, Octo for eight, Novem for nine and Decem for ten. Turn your self to the original house established for all of humanity upon the practice of Prophet Ibrahim, worship none but The One G-D!
