Fallen Acres: A Girl's Voyage Beyond Life Without Her Parents ~
When You Face Your Greatest Fears, You Find Your Truest Self... The Elliotts are a typical American family: they look content and functional to outsiders, but really, they’re navigating difficult family dynamics. Two introverted parents with passionate feelings who have learned to master and subvert their anger find themselves confronted by a drama-fueled oldest daughter, and a self-absorbed middle daughter. The author, their youngest daughter, tries as hard as she can to be the perfect child—she doesn’t cause trouble, she stays away from angry scenes. But the repression that makes her passive and avoidant causes her reckless nature to come out in other ways…in a series of bad decisions that lead her, at the age of 40, to a place where she is determined to do the right thing for her parents during their late-life crisis. Her story is one of heartache, loss, lessons learned, truths uncovered. It’s about the ways in which God and fate intervene to show us what we’re made of. It’s a powerful testament to the need for compassion and realism with aging parents and end-of-life issues. But most of all, it’s a story of identity and redemption—and how one girl ran away from her hurtful family issues only to find that immersing herself back into her family’s world was the way to claim who she really was. Lyrical, honest, and vivid, Fallen Acres is a memoir both deeply relatable and profoundly valuable.

This is her debut Children's Fiction book, which is the first one of a series.Suzy was born in Reading, Berkshire, and lived in Aberystwyth, Wales, in her early childhood. A. W. Tozer is the featured speaker on the show this week.
A 20th-century prophet" they called him even in his lifetime. For 31 years he was pastor of Southside Alliance Church in Chicago, where his reputation as a man of God was citywide. Concurrently he became editor of Alliance Life, a responsibility he fulfilled until his death in 1963. His greatest legacy to the Christian world has been his 30 books. Because A.W. Tozer lived in the presence of God he saw clearly and he spoke as a prophet to the church. He sought for God's honor with the zeal of Elijah and mourned with Jeremiah at the apostasy of God's people. But he was not a prophet of despair. His writings are messages of concern. They expose the weaknesses of the church and denounce compromise. They warn and exhort. But they are messages of hope as well, for God is always there, ever faithful to restore and to fulfill His Word to those who hear and obey.-Taken from Sermon Audio

You know who are in it for the long haul when it is time to ride or fly! The fake horses of the merry go round will take you in circles until you get wise enough to realize it is time to get off because they will keep moving round and round yet going nowhere. This is a bit of a metaphor about fickle people and the motives of their actions! Yes this week I am going shed light in the faces of some folks who have been blinded by the lights of greed and selfishness.
This Weeks INspiration:
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.
