Being burnt out. What do we know about it? Have you ever experienced it? Know someone who has gone through it? Think you're on your way to it? Do you know what to look for as far as symptoms go when it comes to burnout?
By definition, burnout is a pschological condition where a person has probably worked themselves to the point of exhaustion over a lengthy period of time. The exhaustion can be physical, but in most cases it's mental. It normally leaves a person very tired, lethargic, disinterested in work and/or other important areas in life. It can have a really negative impact in job performance which can be an issue for your employer and your job status. It can lead to sexual dysfunction problems with men which can becomean issue with their girlfriends/wives which can have a negative effect on relationships and marriages.
Burnout is a serious problem that shouldn't be taken lightly. It's a form of stress that leads to clinical depression and can wreak havock on family life and and people's personal lives. It's a real problem that affects many people. People don't normally know what's going on until it's too late.
What can we do about it?
How can we help those who we suspect may be experiencing it?
How do we get help for ourselves?

Our passage from the Word of God today is Matthew 11:28–30. It reads, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Only then, in Him, will you encounter the life-changing, thirst-quenching, soul-satisfying delight that God, for His glory, created you to experience.”
Our problem today is "The Problem of Burnout in Your Life" (part 1) from the book, "The Guide to Biblical Counseling" by Dr. Tim Clinton and Dr. Ron Hawkins.
- Western culture continue to push the limits, has become increasingly obsessed with the “pursuit of excellence,” and burnout has reached epidemic proportions, even within the church.
- Burnout is a stressful state characterized by physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion, chronic fatigue, and lethargy.
Everyone deserves happiness, companionship and love. Divorce and separation are devastating and it can scar us to our core. Each of us handles it differently. Some of us stay clear from relationships and some of us run towards them jumping in feet first ready to start all over again. However, if we become desperate for a relationship it can be draining, damaging and exhausting. Relationships can be wonderful, if they are healthy! Today I'll discuss how to avoid this burnout and how to enjoy a season of singleness.
