    in Youth

Topic: "If It Takes a Village to Raise a Child! What Has Happened to the Men that is to Build the Village and Lead the Child by Example? "

This week on The Trauma Network for Men. "The Greatest Gift that a Man Can Leave Behind to His Family and Friends is a Legacy: What Kind of Legacy are You Leaving Behind? An Inheritance of Wisdom, Knowledge, Finances and Love or an Inheritance of Ignorance towards Life and the Lack of Respect for Self and Others " We're having the conversation that no one else is having when it comes to men issues. Finally, the secret is out: Even strong men struggle.

The Men of Semper Fidelis distinguishes the relationship a man has with each other, that is like no other. It goes beyond just being men, it’s a brotherhood and last for a life time. These relationships are dedicated to bringing men and youth from all racial backgrounds together and helping them establish true male relationships. Not just pertaining to sports and casual conversations but building a brotherhood. We accomplish this by communicating with each other on how we really feel on the inside and not hiding behind our masks, but be willing to share our secrets and being accountable to each other. Our goal is not only to build friendships and establish a brotherhood between men & youth, but to be an intricate part of making a difference in the community in which we live. Before our community can change, men not women must change physically, emotionally and spiritually. Meeting in Love as Deeply as You've Met Yourself: Love/Heal Through Trauma

    in Relationships

As we navigate throughout life, we go through growing pains of discernment of trust, good/bad experiences of love which mold our ability to accept care, concern, nurturing and love from others. The skill ability to freely give and receive love can become fragile from traumatic experiences which all too easily dented or damaged your sense vulnerability.

I’m a living witness that love has healing abilities and learning how to be loved and how to interact with those who express genuine kindness, care, nurture and attention for you is possible. I don’t advocate that you throw away the lessons the people are capable of great cruelty or that life brings life situations that you’ve learned through trauma. What I advocate is that you begin to live again through the use of better discernment of whose love that you are willing to receive and how to heal past your trauma into wholeness with the help of a loving partner.

Join your host Minister Dupree-Alridge, co-host A. Michelle Grogan, Janet Heard, Skye Vonn and special guest co-host Debby Applewhite as we have a candid and open dialogue about how love heals when applied properly. Dial in # (646) 668-2495 at 8:00 pm est.
