• EMOTION CODE w/Patricia Aiken

    in Education

Presented by Kami Be and India Irie Sanatana Dharma with special guest, Patricia Aiken.

Our guest today keeps a lot of balls in the air.

She’s a natural health educator, vaccine and dental amalgam activist. Her involvement at the Bundy Ranch got her roped into hosting her own radio show. You can listen to Sacred Cow BBQ on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm Eastern on Freedomslips.com in Studio B.  http://www.freedomslips.com/hosts/sacred-cow-bbq.htm

Today, she’s going to be sharing a remarkable technique that’s simple to learn and easy to use to clear energy blockages created by trapped negative emotions. She’s put her own spin on Dr Bradley Nelson’s Emotion Code and is here to share some great stories about what that’s done for people across the globe.

Nikki Preece-Adopting Attachment Model in a Therapeutic Boarding School

    in Family

Nikki Preece, Ex. Dir. of Fulshear Ranch Academy, a therapeutic boarding school near Houston Texas for young women ages 18 and above, joined Lon Oct. 9, 2014 to explain their adoption of an Attachment Model last Spring for their young adult women.  Nikki explained how these girls suffer from attachment insecurity and often have been adopted.  This decision was made from comments by their students that had been in many therapeutic programs and felt they "learned nothing good about themselves.'  The girls are now very positive and enthusiastic about this new approach Nikki explained.

In this episode, we learn how Kay has been in the biz for 20 years, but still is evolving and expanding.  Promo and commercial VO has been her staple, but how does it change with gaming VO? What about singing? We also talk about competition today, what she has seen change in her own business VO slice of pie, “survival” skill sets for VO, and how we VO actors are tribal people… We create community!!

Kay is the female voice of The Tennis Channel, the female imaging voice for Q107 Toronto, and narrated the insanely popular TV series The Property Brothers on HGTV, seasons 1-4. She was the female voice of DIRECTV from 2009-2013.  She's voiced hundreds of TV and radio commercials including most recently McDonald's, Barilla Pasta, Hidden Valley Ranch, Intuit, Kaiser Permanente, Apple Computers, Jergen's, Toyota, Hyundai, Big O Tires, and more. She's done promos for CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Comedy Central, The Disney Channel, and CTV News Canada. She has narrated documentaries airing on HGTV, Discovery, WE, E! and Learning Channel.  Kay does private voice over coaching, is also a published author, poet and mom.  www.KayBess.com, @KayBess and on FB.

    Todd Wilkinson on Ted Turner

    in Environment

In writing his new book "Last Stand: Ted Turner's Quest to Save a Troubled Planet," environmental journalist Todd Wilkinson ventured deeper into the inner space of Ted Turner than any other before him. That inner space reveals a Turner who has largely been unknown to most people.  Last Stand has won national critical acclaim and has been widely adopted as an essential reading for conservation organizations, universities, government policy makers, businesses, and book clubs across the country. But as many say, "Last Stand" actually reads like an adventure story.

Todd, who started his career nearly 30 years ago as a violent crime reporter in Chicago, first met Ted in 1992 in Montana where Turner has his flagship ranch, the Flying D, and where Todd lives today.  For the book Todd interviewed a number of noteworthy individuals including four Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Jane Fonda, Sen. Sam Nunn and many other major figures. Todd has been on a national tour promoting Last Stand and he joins us today from the wild American West.
