"The Destruction of Public Education" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

Our Public Education is being destroyed.  It's as simple as that. Common Core, Race to the Top, Charter School Disinformation and Money, Money, Money.  In New York, a battle rages that dates back to misappropriation of Public School Funds, Cuomo trying to cut Public Education and give money to charter schools and, of course, Common Core.  Created by businessmen and shoved down the throats of parents and teachers with a focus on testing, Common Core is the cherry on top of the continued push to turn Public Education into a business. Joining me today is Teacher/Activist Marla Kilfoyle. Marla, a manager of Badass Teacher Association has been a parent advocate on Long Island in such groups as Parents and Teachers Against Common Core and LI Opt-Out. Marla has been a teacher in the Social Studies Department at Oceanside High School (NY) for 27 years. Also joining us Kenneth Hughes, public school teacher for 28 years who is watching the school where he teaches suffer from the budget shortfalls manipulated over the past decade and is looking more budget cuts direct in the face.  These issues in New York and throughout the country are as important as any in our society. So grab a cup of coffee and join us.  Longtime Activist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio airs Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Everything depends on good communication, both at home and in public.  YOU CAN COMMUNICATE WITH CONFIDENCE!  I want to share some excerpts with you from Florence and Marita Littauer's book.  JOIN ME. - "Me God and A Cup Of  Coffee" is a show that recognizes that every day must start with a morning conversation with God.  Through sharing your experiences with others we realize that "We are more alike than we are different".  Join us for a morning conversation. ME – Well I’m just your average everyday woman, filled with Life, Love and Laughter.  I’m excited about life’s benefits, though not always excited about my choices.  I rise each morning looking forward to a great cup of coffee and a good book.  Sometimes the Bible, preferably, but always a good read.  My morning would not be morning without God and my Cup of Coffee.

GOD – My source of joy, my reason for living, my beginning and my end.  The beauty that I see when I look into a flower.  The birds I hear chirping as I lay in bed meditating on my day. The peace that surpasses all understanding.  My friend and comforter in Him I live, move and have my being.  G0d – My everything.

Coffee – Part of every good conversation and Privy to every private thought.  The start of every friendship begins with Coffee. In the acknowledgment of life or even the report of death there’s usually coffee.  The universal language for “The Talk”.

"28 Years As A Police Officer" a conversation on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

The discussion about Police in our society has changed.  The Militarization of our local police departments, daily reports of police brutality, lack of transparency and police policy that undermines Constitutional Protections,  With so much negative happening and being reported the larger "positives" are forgotten.  Like our society the majority of people who join the Police do so for the right reasons. Serve and protect. A life of sacrifice and peril. A life of good works. With this in mind I introduce you to Stefan Komar of the NYPD. A person who understands history, activism and the good fight.  The son of a hero member of the Polish Underground during World War II. A man who loves his work and his community and the law. Mr. Komar will not be speaking on behalf of the NYPD in any way, but for himself. Please join us for a frank discussion about his choices, observations. good works and beliefs during his 28 year career. Have a cup of coffee with a real Police Officer.  Long time Activist, Coffee Party Newsroom Editor & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's new show on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. GRACELAND: Jennifer Meadows & The Blaze's Pete Kasperowicz on the ATF bullet ban

    in Politics Conservative

This week’s Graceland with Jennifer Meadows is packed with topics for discussion.  The Blaze’s Pete Kasperowicz joins us to discuss the ATF’s effort to circumvent the 2nd Amendment with its aborted attempt to ban certain types of ammunition.  Is the ATF done with its scheme?  Kasperowicz breaks it all down for us.

The Israeli elections just wrapped up.  We’ll discuss what lies ahead for Netanyahu and Israel following the just concluded elections.  And did the Obama administration not only choose sides, but try to influence the election?  And is Netanyahu our time’s Winston Churchill?

Seattle’s new $15 minimum wage is already having an impact – in a negative way.  Restaurants are closing.  This is hardly a surprise to people who live in the real world.

And good news for Starbucks customers – you can now get a lecture with your latte.  Who doesn’t want that?  Besides everyone, we mean! Can’t we just get some coffee?  We’ll discuss Starbucks’ latest social justice campaign.

Of course, we need to review the latest on Hillary’s emails.  Is her campaign slowly sinking before it even really starts?  And does Al Gore still have presidential aspirations?

Join Jennifer Meadows, Curtice Mang and Charles Johnson this week as we tackle all of these topics.
