... How was / is it for YOU? "Turn our will and our lives over to the care of GOD as we understand HIM" Thats so funny because when I first entered the program of recovery - "I" did NOT understand GOD or HIS Plans for me. I was convinced that I was doomed - going to Hell in a Handbag, and there was NO HOPE for me. I was raised a Catholic - and along with my Catholic upbringing - I grew up filled with GUILT. Many individuals like myself - consider ourselves - RECOVERING CATHOLICS as we work to let go of the Guilt that I learned to Associate my self with on almost a daily basis....
Please remember - we are NOT Doctors, Counselors, Therapists, etc...We ARE Real inidividuals working programs that help keep us free from the chains that used to bind us and keep us lost within ourselves. We found recovery and we work whatever it takes to get and stay SOBER.PLUS - it is NOT ENOUGH to just get SOBER. We want the best that life has to offer, thus we work to improve the quality of life we live sober - thus SOBRIETY IS IMPORTANT to us.
Join us weekly as we explore different approaches to this same goal, the BEST LIFE THAT WE CAN ATTAIN & MAINTAIN without regressing back into a state of intoxication. How do we do it? Tune in or call in at 323-580-5755 Sunday evenings, from 7 to 9 PM. We look forward to your comments, questions, personal stories that you have to share. Always remember to share your story , from the heart and often. Need help during the week? Call me at 1-800-427-5968 or email me at email@example.com. Why not enjoy ALL Life has to offer...We can help you achieve this goal.
was I thinking!? Tune in as we discuss this and other opportunites as we live our lives SOBER! How do we do it? ONE-DAY AT A TIME for sure. It is that simple! We are NOT DOCTORS, Scholars, Counselors, Psychiatrists, psycholigists, we are people - just like you who were caught up in our addicitions and addictive natures, and were lost to the REAL world. Who could help us? ONLY - one - Our Higher Power - and the fellowship we stumbled onto that had found a pathway in their lives to living it to the fullest yet providing the strength to leave the addictions behind. We remain ever vigilant to the fact that we can return to that horrifc way of life by picking up that first drink or drug. "I" for one do not EVER want to go back to that way of life / living. If you want what we have and are willing to go ANY length to get it - then tune in every week from 7 to 9 PM CST as we share our personal Experience, Strength, and Hope with anyone who will listen. OR better yet - call in and participate with us our call-in number is 323-580-5755. We would love to hear what you have to share. Need help during the week? Callme on my personal cellphone 630-918-6129 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org Just remember one important thing - YOU ARE NEVER ALONE! May Your Higher Power be with you! Until our next show - Have agreat week - unless you have OTHER plans!

Do you have issues with food? Do you think you may be an "emotional eater?" What's an emotional eater?
Emotional eating is when a person uses food as an attempt to control, monitor, and cope with negative feelings or thoughts. Because emotional eating typically results in overeating, it can often lead to poor self-esteem, unwanted weight gain, and obesity.
If you are binge eating or sometimes not eating at all, learn how to recognize the triggers of emotional eating and understand the habits and causes.

Our culture today has become obsessed with diets. Instead of that word simply meaning, "that which you eat", it has become a word that implies deprivation, starving, restriction, and sacrifice. There are so many fads and theories about how to achieve that perfect body, (whether realistic or not), and yet more and more people are suffering with allergies, digestive disturbance, and more serious conditions like cancer, celiac, and Crohn's Disease, as well as eating disorders such as anorexia, bulemia, pica, and Pradar Willi Syndrome. Despite the media and the quest for the perfect figure, the obesity epidemic continues and we know all too well (hopefully) how this condition can contribute to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, not to mention other conditions like arthritis that are complicated by increasing weight.
Last time, we discussed how Ayurveda views food as medicine and how to incorporate Ayurvedic principles to achieve perfect weight and balance. Today Nick and Joanna will be discussing how hypnosis can help manage and heal the myriad of eating disorders that seem to affect us today.
Is it a matter of willpower, or are we powerless to make the changes we need to make to live a happier, healthier life where we can live longer and prevent disease before it starts?
Whether it's a matter of a few pounds you would like to lose, or a more serious problem of obesity and/or a related illness, hypnosis can help, along with a sensible diet and lifestyle that decreases stress, and brings some ease and sanity to this epidemic problem.

Living with an Addiction is like sailing on the ocean without any rudder or the ability to raise or lower the sails. On good days - you have no idea of where you are headed - and you can try an hope that it is the direction you want to go - and you think you are enjoying yourself. However on those days when the wind kicks up or turns into a violent storm - holding on to a vessel that can sink at any moment should be enough to motivate anyone to seek recovery. Ahhh - but once the winds die down and you realize that you are still alive - some weird voice in the back of your brain tells you the worse is over and you once again continue your journey into a potentially torrential future.
Join me - Dan Czuba and my many various guest Hosts and Callers as we candidly discuss what it takes to get and stay sober in todays world of growing temptations. Learn how I/we make the Best of every day - while developing habits to grow as individuals - helping others find Serenity for themselves - and possibly those they love. JOIN US!
