    What's Up Diamonds!

First thing I need to apologize for last weeks show, the reason you don't see it in my episodes is because I delelted it... to find out why check out my September's recap on the shows official website. I tell you all about it and about my crazy, crazy month! There was some good and a lot of bad, but that's okay because I'm still keeping it moving.  Thank you for your listens, and I appreciate all of your sharing and kind mentions on both Twitter and Facebook.

A new month brings a whole new set of guests Monday’s show I will have Steve Hester in case you don’t know him, he is the Lead Singer of the group Dejavoodoo I met Steve almost 2 years ago on social media he was one of the very few Diamonds that followed me when I only had a few followers. Steve stuck in there with me so when I told him I was starting radio show and asked if I could use his music he was more than willing to help. He gave me permission to use his music on my show,  interviewed on my show, and he sent me some free CDs giveaway on the show.  The funny thing is for Steve’s initial interview he canceled at the last minute due to an unexpected family  death, but you know what, he reschedule with me and he showed up and gave me an awesome interview. He is such a cool down to earth person he has strong believes in family and God please listen in as I speak to my social friend Steve Hester. Phone lines will be open Showtime starts at 6 PM EST.

As you now it is a new month so there are new pics on the LJDN show’s website, there’s a new recap, a new classic interview, a new pillow from my social designer Sarah Loft and so much more. Browse through my website you can even leave me a comment, and remember if you would like to be a guest or have your music played and promoted on the show it’s just an email click away.

Jerome and Jimmy Ali - The Brothers Ali visit This Side of the River - Part II

    in Music

    LIVE with The Brothers Ali!

Jimmy and Jerome Ali are the twin sons of Brenda and the late Jimmy Ali, Sr., an avid jazz enthusiast and pianist Born in Detroit, Michigan at a time when Barry Gordy's Motown Sound was igniting the world. They embraced R&B music and such great jazz artist as Charlie Parker, Eddie Harris, Stan Getz and Art Blakey.

As young teens, Jimmy & Jerome were organizing "jam sessions!". All of the neighborhood musicians would come & wait their turn to jam with "the twins". Their Dad Jimmy Ali Sr., had an, open door policy allowing neighborhood teens to come over & rehearse so that they could form bands & perform at the High schools & local hot spots with the Ali Boys. Some awesome talent emerged from that basement on Littlefield Street. Mr. Ali (Bart) as he was affectionately called, had a tough policy to abide by~ NO DRUGS, NO DRAMA!! And yes, he WOULD enforce it.

Jimmy and Jerome have shared the stage and recorded with such diverse artist as: Carlos Santana, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Earl Klugh, Buddy Miles and the Doobie Brothers, to name a few.

Jimmy and Jerome, known professionally as the Brothers Ali, have performed at the Las Vegas Hilton, Mandalay Bay, Paris, Caesars, Aladdin, Stardust Hotels, Lake Las Vegas, and the Green Valley Resorts: "The District" They also appeared at the 1st Annual Newport Pacific Jazz Festival on 8-28-05 in Las Vegas and performs at Town Square Live! & the Ritz Carlton. They have also performed at The Wynn Hotel for Mrs. Wynns private dinner party & at the Mirage 8/08 for The Michael Jordan Foundation for the 4th consecutive year.
