Kate says: “I love having meaningful conversations with people about their love of life and what it means in relation to prayer and eradicating the fear of death. It makes me crazy how American society sweeps death away and no one speaks about it. This is why I’ve created the “Uprooting Our Fear Of Death: Bringing IT Out Of The Closet” webinar series, as well as “The Prayer Prescription Series,” and will be doing Teleseminars on these subjects in 2014.” Kate Loving Shenk, RN BSN Join Kate's Community HERE: http://katelovingshenk.com/my-greatest-compliment/

The University of Pennsylvania had tremendous results with a recent clinical trial using a CAR T cell treatment targeting CD19 for a myeloma patient. The results were so impressive that some wonder if they have been able to eliminate the myeloma stem cell clone for one patient who had relapsed 9 therapies and had a high-risk genetic feature. Learn more about this success and where UPENN is going next using CAR therapy with Dr. Adam Cohen, MD, Director of Myeloma Immunotherapy at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at UPENN.

Human Effort Or Spirit-Led Participation and Co-operation? ...
“And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea, 17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. 18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. 19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. 20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. 21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.” John 6:16-21
Rowing in the above passage signifies human effort in order to reach the shore of heaven. It symbolizes sanctification by works. Notice it was only when they quit trying to row that they were “immediately” at the shore. But they had to trust through some terror. This signifies trusting through the cross. The cross is the rough seas, high winds and dark times of life. This is where you meet Jesus.
