At some point in our lives we've either experienced a broken heart or know of those who have. A broken heart can happen in many ways. Like a husband or wife who decides to leave the other, or the loss of a child, or the loss of a brother or sister. Or its simply that someone has hurt you with their words, you may be suffering from an illness. In just a few minutes we will take notes on some lessons learned from the lives of those in scripture who have also like us suffered from a broken heart. But our Lord God loves us so much He's willing to go the distance for us. And so we can be confident in bringing our hurts, pain and difficulties at the foot of the Cross and turn them over Him, because God can heal the broken hearted.

What becomes of the broken hearted
This week, I will discuss what happens to your life when your heart is broken. I will dig into the stages of grief that we all experience after a loss and the difficulty in dealing with that grief while attempting to move on with your life. I will talk specifically about what happens when a romance ends and how hoping for love creates the fear of ending up broken hearted again. I welcome callers to join in the discussion by sharing their stories of love, loss and recovery.
Today's Show: Relational wounds cut deep. When one experiences a relational wound, they are often left with broken pieces. Maybe it's a broken heart, a distorted view of yourself and how God sees you, leading to a poor self esteem both spiritually and naturally. No matter what you have experienced, know that your brokennness IS NOT YOUR IDENTITY!! God sees you as so much more than anything you've ever experienced or done. Your broken pieces are not an indication that you are damaged goods. On this episode, Tanyka will explore how God not only healed the broken pieces, but used them for good and for His glory.
in The Bible
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

God gave me these words a couple of years ago and I must tell Him sorry for not writing them down when He told me to. You see, when God tells you to do something, or He gives you something to say, it’s your duty to do it. So here I go with the strength and grace that He’s given me.
"Jesus met me where I was in my life and talked to me, sang to me and gave me a song to sing and a new way of thinking, and where did He do that? He did that in the BDF (Baltimore Detention Facility). He took a man that was broken, and worked a miracle in 86 days and brought me back to Him. He didn’t look at what I’ve done, because he knew the mistake in life that I made, He didn’t condemn me, even though He could have, He loved me back to Him. He met me there, and loved me for me. I didn’t have to jump through hoops or sing a song. I had to repent from my sin, acknowledge Him in my life, and He did the rest."
The issue now is that when we make mistakes today the world has an issue of holding our past against us, Not Him. They make us suffer for our past, but not Him. I found several hero’s in the Bible that have been on my mind for the past couple of years that prove that Jesus Meets You Where You Are.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we have a Live Discussion about how Jesus Meets You Where You Are, and tell our stories about where we were when Jesus Met us in our life and listen to others as they tell their stories.
We've talked about having a broken heart & how Jesus came to heal the broken hearted. But today I want to address something that speaks to Christians specifically, that of enduring hardship. I don't know anyone who has escaped hard times. Some of us go through them easier than others and with a better attitude, but we all go through them. Why does God allow this? I Peter 1:6-7 says "In this you greatly rejoice though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuiness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
This FIST FIGHT FRIDAY, we've got an explosive show. Almost a month after the fiasco regarding WorldChanger's campaign http://tiny.cc/viyexx to raise funds for Creflo's brand new jet, he has broken his silence. Creflo's response, is just as outrageous and baffling the fundraiser itself. He's sure to raise that money now! But not without resistence from... CHURCH FOLK REVOLUTION!
Dollar claims in this response that he never asked his church members "for a dime" for the plane. However, the fundraising page http://bit.ly/1MzDgwf made an appeal to "members, partners, and supporters".
Isaiah 57:15 says this, For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite. And the truth be known, God loves us so much he will allow us to hit our rock bottom if it means finding Him. Sometimes I must get honest with myself and say I at times don't really want to be broken. Somehow that just sounds like losing or second best, our flesh gets in the way and says we don't need fixing, mending, trials, suffering or difficultiies to help us draw close to Almighty God. The real question is where will I go to get answers for my own brokenness? Because true colors are revealed when we go through those fiery trials of life. They let us know where we stand in our faith in God and where we are in our walk with Him. It often leaves us spiritually naked and in need of more than we can offer ourselves. We turn to other vices to help sooth the pain such as alcohol, drugs or ography. When God only wants whats best for us he will at times allow pain and difficulty to deepen our relationship with Him and be broken, mended and made whole....Thats His plan.
