Discovering your Passion, Purpose and Calling

Most of us can tell you the things we are passionate about but few people can identify their purpose and calling. These are important because, they are not only the reasons you were born but, you will never have true happiness and fulfillment until you discover what they are and live accordingly.

What are things that stand between you and your COMPLETE happiness? Call and weigh in with our expert panel.

Chuck Carrington, of Virginia Beach Coaching & Counseling, will show us how to work together to better understand and resolve challenges in our lives. He uses complementary therapy approaches and coaching techniques to unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, looking to enhance your marriage communication and reduce conflicts, or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, you definitely need to call and or listen in.

Mike Berry, Confessions of a Parent, will offer guidance on parenting, adoption, foster care, special needs and marriage. He should know; him and his wife Kristin are the adoptive parents of eight children. He also serves as an author, writer, speaker and family consultant.

We will also have a spotlight interview with Janelle Stephens, CEO of Camille Rose Naturals. Discover how this mother of five, and dedicated vegan, discovered her purpose, calling and passion—you can do the same!

“There’s no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It’s why you were born. And how you become most truly alive.”—Oprah Winfrey

Camille Paglia Can Be Right and Dead Wrong

    in Self Help

This week many news outlets and media sites are publishing Camille Paglia's interview in Salon. All three posts have thus far been a compelling read and while Paglia makes some undeniable great points and backs them up as well, it’s important for readers to take her own advice.

Paglia says its incumbent for every American to get their news from a variety of sources...Left, Right and otherwise in order to be 1) fully informed and 2) be able to extrapolate something resembling truth from the various agendas presenting the "facts."

No less true for discerning Paglia's position on a variety of subjects. She has a long history of political commentary and purports to be an atheist and a Libertarian. But scratching beneath the surface of her words, and examining context as well, may tell a different story...at least about her alleged Libertarianism.

Join us for an in-depth look at what all the interest is about and how much of what she has to say rings true.

10 yr. Old James Hicks, advocate for Beagle Freedom Project

James Hicks is 10 years old, and got involved with Beagle Freedom Project after seeing one of their first videos. He’s against animal testing, so he donated his saved up allowance to give to BFP, and got his mom to buy only cruelty-free products.  He has two beagles, Buster and Scooter, who he loves very much.    http://www.beaglefreedomproject.org

Beagle Freedom Project began in December 2010 when Shannon Keith received information that beagles who were used for animal experiments in a research lab were to be given a chance at freedom. Our mission is rescuing and finding homes for beagles used in laboratory research. Beagles are the most popular breed for lab use because of their friendly, docile, trusting, forgiving, people-pleasing personalities. The research industry says they adapt well to living in a cage, and are inexpensive to feed. Research beagles are usually obtained directly from commercial breeders who specifically breed dogs to sell to scientific institutions.
