Quarterback Brandon Bridge will attempt to make America’s team as an undrafted free agent. The native of Mississauga, Ont., said Sunday he has agreed to attend the Dallas Cowboys’ rookie mini-camp next weekend at Valley Ranch. Bridge added he hasn’t signed with the NFL club as of yet."I’m very excited about this," Bridge said in a telephone interview. "I’m really looking forward to it."Veteran Tony Romo is Dallas’s starter, with Brandon Weeden and Dustin Vaughan listed as his backups. It’s worth noting Romo signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Illinois after being bypassed in the 2003 NFL draft.Bridge became a free agent after being overlooked in this year’s draft, which concluded Saturday in Chicago. The six-foot-four 229-pound Bridge was looking to become the first Canadian-born quarterback selected since 2001 when Ottawa’s Jesse Palmer went in the fourth round to the New York Giants.

ANDREW BUCKLEY QB Calgary Dinos The scars of losing in the Canada West final haven’t healed quite yet, but winning two of Canadian university football’s biggest individual awards should help soothe the pain.
University of Calgary Dinos quarterback Andrew Buckley was chosen as the winner of the Hec Crighton Award for being the outstanding player in CIS football on Thursday night at the All-Canadian Gala in Montreal.
Then, the Dinos quarterback doubled up on the hardware, collecting the Russ Jackson Award, which rewards excellence in football, academics and citizenship.
He’s the first player ever to win both awards in the same season, and it wasn’t a bad way to cap off an extraordinary year — even if it doesn’t quite make up for his program’s 27-15 loss to the Manitoba Bisons two weeks ago in the Hardy Cup. >>>>> Every year a couple of quarterbacks come out to the CFL combine to serve as the guys who throw the balls to the receivers and hand them off to running backs. They’re basically invisible to the scouts on hand.
There is talk around the CFL that Jordan Yantz could be the Canadian quarterback who breaks that trend this year.
The University of Manitoba Bisons quarterback will be one of two pivots taking part in this weekend’s CFL combine in Toronto, and he can’t wait to prove he can play the position like his American counterparts.
“I’m putting everything I’ve worked for my entire life into this weekend,” Yantz said Wednesday. “Being a Canadian quarterback, I’m honoured to get this opportunity, because how Canadian quarterbacks are evaluated at the next level is very tough and I’m honoured to be one of the two guys who gets invited to this combine and get a chance.

The Detroit Lions traded down in Round 1 and selected Duke guard Laken Tomlinson at the 2015 NFL Draft. Was that the right move early, and how did the Lions do from there? We break down the draft and try to figure out what it means for the upcoming season.
From there, we transition to the Detroit Tigers, who have posted a 4-3 record thus far on their road trip. Was a weekend split in Kansas City a success? What's been most concerning early about the team?
Finally, we take quick look back at what went wrong in the Detroit Red Wings' Game 7 loss to Tampa Bay. Will Mike Babcock return?
Barry (Grant Gustin) must deal with the Reverse Flash’s (Tom Cavanagh) latest threat to a member of the group. To make matter worse, Dr. Wells unleashes Grodd on the city in order to distract Barry and the team. Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) head down into the sewers to catch Grodd but the gorilla quickly gets the upper hand after he kidnaps Joe. Iris (Candice Patton) and Barry have a heart to heart talk.
Vatican II affirms Catholic doctrine dating back to 1302, when Pope Boniface VIII asserted that "it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff." This was the inspiration of the papacy to create the United States of America that materialized in 1776, by a process just as secret as the Reagan-Vatican production of Eastern Europe in 1989. What? American government Roman Catholic from the beginning?
Consider: the land known today as the District of Columbia bore the name "Rome" in 1663 property records; and the branch of the Potomac River that bordered "Rome" on the south was called "Tiber." This information was reported in the 1902 edition of the Catholic Encyclopedia's article on Daniel Carroll. The article, specifically declaring itself "of interest to Catholics" in the 1902 edition, was deleted from the New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967). Other facts were reported in 1902 and deleted from 1967. For example, when Congress met in Washington for the first time, in November, 1800, "the only two really comfortable and imposing houses within the bounds of the city" belonged to Roman Catholics. One was Washington's first mayor, Robert Brent. The other was Brent's brother-in-law, Notley Young, a Jesuit priest.
The Madame loves music, especially of the Brit-Pop, UK RnR styles! Tonight's show is one you'll definitely want to download from iTunes. I'll be surprised if you aren't already familiar with British band Joe Symes & The Loving Kind. The description below is from their website. The party starts at 7PM EDT at Mme Perry's Salon!
Joe Symes and The Loving Kind help relive 80's Bowie, Brit-Pop and the solo workings of Sir Paul McCartney. Simplistic yet all the same intensely powerful, Liverpool's acoustic/rock five-piece bring a relaxation to the mind to create a hypnotic trance, fitting in with their own rock-esque image. So far the musicians have had many an experience in the past years, one of the more notable milestones, headlining Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds after show party, proving their musical prowess within the industry
