I'm your host
Daniel N. Collins,
He was born on September 4th 1975 in Newark NJ, but he was raised in Elizabeth NJ. Elizabeth is where he first put the pen to the paper in the 11th grade. Daniel has moved on since then and published his first poem in 2002 in a book called "Flood of Contentment", and with this he received the editors choice award for his poem called "moving on".
Today Daniel N Collins has published two books of his own called "The soul Vs Flesh" / Life 2 Lyrics, which even has a sequel called "The Soul Vs Flesh" / Lyrics 4 Life. The Soul Vs Flesh is a series and a collection of events that has happened in Daniels life put together in a lyrical display. What Daniel did was give his flesh its own voice and his soul it's own voice and let them talk amongst each other round after round as he sits in the middle and tries not to add a bias opinion. The Soul Vs Flesh is basically Daniels own spiritual warfare put into lyrical form. What's intriguing about Daniels first book is that it was written on a blackberry tour in a span of eight months. Daniel fervently writes about life as he sees it so he needs an electrical device within an arms reach at all times. Daniel is an exemplary writer but is also inspired by other writers as well such as Langston Hughes, Tupac Shakoor, D H Lawrence, Dr Cornel West, and Lil Wayne. Daniel is a true renaissance man, he enjoys Jazz, Hip Hop,and R&B.
Daniel enjoys reading or siting in silence listing to his heart as he plagiarizes what his mind tells him to write. Over all Daniel is an outside of the box kind of guy and the best quote to describe him is one by Brian Tracey and says "Nothing great has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside them was superior to circumstances".

Ronnie Laws has a soulful sound on tenor that ushered in a new era of Jazz-Funk Fusion that help shape contemporary jazz as we know it today. Laws has a proven natural art of combining the exploratory heart of Jazz with the broader reaching strains of Soul and Pop music. His iconic career, includes early-'70s gigs with Quincy Jones, Ramsey Lewis, Earth, Wind & Fire Howard Hewett, Hugh Masekela and his brother, Hubert Laws. He is often listed on Billboard's contemporary jazz chart
His first hit, “Always There” , was one of the most popular, sax-driven, cross-over hits of the 70’s Jazz-FunkFusion era. He pioneered the sensualization of the soprano sax with Quiet Storm gems such as “Grace”, “Karmen”, and “Just Love”. Pressure Sensitive, Fever, and Friends and Strangers (Blue Note 1978), the title track of his third album, all propelled to gold status.
