Marion Behr is an accomplished visual artist, publisher, and author, and she's on a mission to help others in quite an extraordinary fashion. Tucked inside Surviving Cancer: Our Voices & Choices, she has compiled and illustrated a collection of essays, reflections, and artwork. Sifting through the compilation, readers are immersed in a sense of hope through art and story. Marion Behr provides a remarkable illustration of the hope that prevails when survivors, organizations, care teams and others align themselves as a healing force in the cancer battle, and beyond.
This timeless source book is written, in part, by cancer survivors of different ages who provide insight into personal experiences and choices -- to ease the way for new cancer patients. Doctors’ articles are arranged to correspond with the usual order of visits experienced by most cancer patients. Personal narrations afford a view of cancer survivors' stories across the United States and Canada and as far away as Cambodia and Israel.
Marion created the first national survey of women working from home in the 1970's and after receiving thousands of responses from women, she originated the concept of the Homebased Business, as opposed to the cottage industry, and formed Women Working Home Inc. with Wendy Lazar. Together, they co-authored two editions of Women Working Home: The Homebased Business Guide and Directory, and sold fifty thousand copies.
Marion later received a Presidential Appointment to The White House Conference on Small Business and her presentations to the US Labor Department and Senate helped to change laws on home based businesses.
Cancer affects all of us. Whether you've fought the battle or loved someone through it, the journey is personal and profound. Join us to hear what it takes to organize a collaboration across the world, all for the sake of helping others more deeply understand survivors' voices and choices.
How can a brain tumor diagnosis be a gift? And how can a book about this experience be full of joy and have the potential to change your life?
After a decade exploring the nature of reality and researching and experimenting with human potential, Will Pye experienced an initiation at the age of 31 via a Grand Mal seizure and the subsequent diagnosis of a golf ball-sized brain tumor.
In his first book, BLESSED WITH A BRAIN TUMOR: Realizing It's All Gift and Learning To Receive, Will shares how he was able to experience the development with no stress or suffering, how the diagnosis became an opportunity for profound growth and how we, too, can access the gifts of such a wakeup call. Will reveals scientifically proven tools and perspectives to transform our lives by changing our minds and opening our hearts. Learn how accessing these untapped powers and potentials causes positive changes in those around us and throughout the world.
Be the catalyst for your own transformation, contribute to the global shift in consciousness and discover life purpose everywhere you look with this extraordinary book.
