WHAT IS HOLLYWOOD?
What does it stand for?
Why is central place everyone who wants to be a movie star?
Today we look at the esoteric and metaphysical nature of Hollywood.
“The druids were tree worshippers, especially the oak. The holly was their most sacred symbol because it was sacred to mother Holle or Hel, the [Norse] goddess of the underworld. The druids was conquered by the Romans as was Jersalem, and all there where mixed together from western christianity.
The origin of the television set was heavily shrouded in both spiritualism and the occult, writes author Stefan Andriopoulos in his new book Ghostly Apparitions. In fact, as its very name implies, the television was first conceived as a technical device for seeing at a distance: like thetelephone (speaking at a distance) and telescope (viewing at a distance), the television was intended as an almost magical box through which we could watch distant events unfold, a kind of technological crystal ball.

Jessica Breanne & The Electric Hearts draw on the soul of Stax and the blues of the delta to create an original sound that breaks the mold of the city they reside and perform in. Their music weaves together new sounds with classic throwback elements. The Electric Hearts have been hard at work completing their debut LP, which is being produced by local producer and band-mate, Mike Odmark. The record tells the stories of love, love lost and redemption while painting vivid pictures of the struggles and temptations of the soul. Meanwhile, they have been dominating the Nashville rock scene with their “no-holds-barred” approach anchored by Jessica’s undeniable stage presence and vocal prowess. After recently winning the “Battle on Third” competition against 36 local bands, opening for Robert Randolph & The Family Band, The Wooten Brothers, and more: Jessica Breanne & The Electric Hearts are quickly becoming the band to see in Nashville.

Until You Walk the Path, You Don’t Know Where it Goes will be hosting Timothy Grey on March 14 at 5 pm eastern.
Timothy Grey Began filmmaking in 2001 with his first independent production VOW. The film was released regionally. Oscar winning director Michael Moore said "Timothy Grey's VOW is both disturbing and entertaining and a wonderful contribution to independent film."
In 2004 Grey started production on his second narrative, Lower the Sun. A vampire tale loosely based on the Gilgamesh epic. The film remains unfinished. In 2008 Timothy Grey with Breanne Russell began production on their first documentary Under The Eightball. The film was released in 2009 to rave reviews in the LA Times, Village Voice, NY Times, and Variety. The film is currently entering the Festival Circuit as well as a screening/speaking tour with the filmmakers.
Under the Eightball is a film about one woman's struggle with a mysterious disease and her family's desperate attempt to save her life. This documentary ventures further than merely a disease, it examines the systemic failures of our health care, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries. The audience becomes witness to an ambivalent medical community who's attitude can only be described as a tragic failure. This is a cautionary tale --- warning the viewer that this story is not the exception but one that is all too common. A truth that lives in our cities, on our streets, in our homes. The victims are our neighbors, friends, parents, siblings and children. The victims are us...
