The Proof is in the Pudding Pt2

    in Lifestyle

Continuing our theme of The Proof is in the Pudding, it's time to "taste and see". So what are we tasting and/or seeing? The wonderful things that God has prepared for us. On Monday we began to look at staying focused on speaking what we know (not assumptions) without becoming or even sounding presumptuous or arrogant. On today's broadcast Linda takes a look at tasting and proving God's word through study and application so that you are able to "give an answer" or respond wisely about what you believe or any other matter.

The scripture comes from Ezekiel 3:1 "Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

In order for us to give out sound words, we must injest, digest the word of God.

    Ecclesiastes 9:5-7
    King James Version (KJV)
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
    Psalm 115:17

    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

17 The dead praise not the Lord,
neither any that go down into silence.

4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul:
oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee:
in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
    Psalm 88:10
2 cor. 5:88 we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Gen.3:19 19 in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

10 Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead?
shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.

SDG 188 Plug into the Power of Prayer

    in Spirituality

    Matthew 7:7–11

Today's focus scripture contains one of the most awesome promises in the entire Bible.

Here Jesus teaches us how to get our prayers answered.

Now as a Christian, the time will come in your walk if it’s not already here, when the most important thing for you on this earth is for God to answer your prayers.

Now remember we are looking at the words of Jesus, and if you cannot believe these words, you have no right to believe you’re saved because the same Bible that promises salvation, promises answered prayer.

So if you cannot believe one promise, why should you believe the other?

Look at it clearly and plainly, Our LORD says,

    Matthew 7:7-11 KJV
[7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
[8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[9] Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
[10] Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
[11] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Today we'll look at a 3 key truths from this passage on answered prayer and they are:

    A promise to claim.

    A process to following .

    A provision to enjoy.

So stay tuned to learn how to plug into the power of prayer!

Is the Proof Really in the Pudding?

    in Lifestyle

Linda is back from vacation and ready to enlighten and inform!

Join us as we take a look at the phrase, "The proof is in the pudding." We all have heard it at one time or another. But what does it really mean? You have to eat it in order to know that it tastes good. We can't assume it's good or go only by someone else's opinion. We have to experience it for ourselves.

We will take a look at assumptions, presumptions and opinion. So what does this have to do with pudding? Well it's really not about the pudding is it? No, it's about the proving.

"Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then shall I be blameless, and I shall be innocent and clear of great transgression." Psalm 19:13 AMP

We'll begin to answer the questions, What does it mean to be presumptuous? and  How does it keep us from our life's purpose?

Rivers In a Desert Profitable Ministry - The Prophet and the Prophet II

    in Religion

Isaiah 33:10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

    15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

Prayer with the Prophets - CHILDREN!

    in Spirituality

    Prayer with the Prophets!

Let's pray like: Jesus, King David, Daniel, Prophetess Anna, Paul and Silas and you!

    Luke 18:1 (KJV)
    1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

    Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Let us pray until we have the answer!
