Pop Culture Crazies - POLITICON - Dog caught DUI - Mass shootings real narrative

    in Pop Culture

Hr1  Recapping the POLITICON conference from the weekend in California. It was supposed to be bipartisan, but was heavily Democrat/Progressive leaning.

Tami Jackson, Senior Editor at Barbwire, went to Roseburg, OR to cover President Obama's arrival and the community's reaction on the heals of mass shooting and knee-jerk calls for gun control.

"Ride the Thunder" movie pays tribute (finally) to our brave & noble Vietnam Veterans.

Hr2  California's Gov. Jerry Brown signs bill unfairly targeting crisis pregnancy centers. Unless the mother's life is in danger, looking for an abortion is not a healthcare matter.

Andrea Nelson, from the Clover Agency, joins Joe to discuss recent news events that you probably won't hear anywhere else.

Are millennials too fragile to cope with life, requiring counseling for routine life speedbumps?

DUI suspect tells authorities his dog was driving. No. It didn't work.

Every mass shooting in US since the 1950s except 2 occurred in gun free zones. Blowing holes in #LibLogic.

Hr3  Commercial by "Americans for Shared Prosperity" drives liberals nuts! Obama is a lying, cheating, no-good, paranoid manipulator who says he'll change, but never does…

Wasn't everything really Columbus' fault? If he hadn't come here, none of this would have happened. One man, two narratives. Hero or villain?

Jessie Watters, Watters' World Columbus Day Edition: Do we teach history anymore? These people are clueless.

Obama loses his cool and filibusters during interview with Steve Kroft when questioned about ISIS, Syria, and Iraq.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

    Mother’s Milk #SamiyyahSaafirMuhammad 323.927.2913

    in Family

Samiyyah Saafir-Muhammad was born Jacqueline Glover in New York City in 1951. After spending her early years in foster care, moving four times before the age of three, she settled in with her aunt, following her father’s passing.

While still in elementary school Samiyyah took an interest in helping other students do well, joining “The Future Teachers’ Club” in the fifth grade. As a high school student, Samiyyah became aware her people’s struggle for freedom—witnessing civil rights demonstrations, protests, assassinations and riots—and decided she wanted to help somehow.  It was in this atmosphere that she went off to Northeastern University in Boston where she majored in Education. Her stay there was short-lived, however, as she was introduced to the teachings of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and thereafter joined the Nation of Islam. Within the Nation of Islam’s Muhammad University, Samiyyah underwent educational training and worked as a teacher’s assistant.

Since 2005, Samiyyah has had the privilege of serving as the Directress at Muhammad University of Islam in Atlanta, which serves students from Pre-K to the eighth grade. She has been blessed to carry on the 84-year educational tradition, which was started by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his brave followers in the 1930’s.

A widow after 35 years of marriage, Samiyyah presently enjoys the blessing of her and her husband’s nine children: six sons and three daughters, all of whom attended or are attending HBCUs. Samiyyah has been a mother to not only her nine children, but also to her two stepchildren, her nieces and nephews, her eight grandchildren and countless other children and adults in the community who come to her for advice, wisdom and guidance. Affectionately called MamaMiyyah, Samiyyah’s house is never empty.

    in Politics Progressive

(playfully singing) McCarthy & Ellmers Sittin' In A Tree...K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

When you do good in life, it often times come back 100X. Be a colossal dick and it comes back 10,000X worse. Case in point? Today's Republican Party! Wanna-Be Presidents dropping like flies, the fringe right Tea Party wing usurping power and the GOP Establishment are having an anal prolapse of gigantuan and epic proportions.

Can it get any better for Democrats? It is theirs to lose!

Nobody seem to want the top job as Speaker of the House. Who will be brave enough as cowardly Republicans are playing a game of cat & mouse. Rep. Paul Ryan is praying over it, Rep. Jason Chavetz has thrown his hat in the ring and Rep. Darrell Issa is flirting with the idea of making a run himself. Why not former Vice President Dick Cheney, Rep. Loiuse Gohmert or Rep. Tommy Franks as well? They are all repugnant & vile as America waits to see what transpires of their entertaining circus show.

On a more positive note, the first Democratic Debate is this Tuesday. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, with all cylinders blazing, debate issues that we all care about. It's put up or shut up time! Can any of the other Democrats running create a good enough impression to be taken seriously?

Join us at 8pm Eastern Time (7pm Central/5pm Pacific) for these and many other topics. Say first name and where you are calling from. Call (619) 789-1959. Press 1 to come live on air. Be respectful and to the point. Thanks for liking on facebook.com/kitchenpolitics123 & spreading by word of mouth.

Native American Legends & Heroes: Crazy Horse

    in Education

Crazy Horse was born on the Republican River about 1845. He was killed at Fort Robinson, Nebraska, in 1877, so that he lived barely thirty-three years.

He was an uncommonly handsome man. While not the equal of Gall in magnificence and imposing stature, he was physically perfect, an Apollo in symmetry. Furthermore he was a true type of Indian refinement and grace. He was modest and courteous as Chief Joseph; the difference is that he was a born warrior, while Joseph was not. However, he was a gentle warrior, a true brave, who stood for the highest ideal of the Sioux [Lakota.]  Notwithstanding all that biased historians have said of him, it is only fair to judge a man by the estimate of his own people rather than that of his enemies.
