Do you know about the African American 371st Infantry of World War I that fought in France? Did you know that Sonya R. Hodges has dedicated her life to research and honor the men who fought in World War I to honor the memory of these dedicated soldiers?
Please join Sonya R. Hodges-Grantham and Douglas Culbreth for a discussion of the role played by the African American 371st Infantry Regiment in World War I to honor the memory of these dedicated soldiers.
The 371st Infantry Regiment, an African American unit of mostly South Carolinians came from small towns like Sandy Springs, Anderson, Edgefield, Ninety-six and Laurens.
The 371st was permitted to fight, after disembarking from their troop ship at a tiny French village in April of 1918 after learning that they had been transferred to the French army. The 371st was given French equipment, and had to turn in their prized Springfield rifles for French rifles. The unit was reorganized to fit the French army structure and spent the spring of 1918 training in French tactics, communicated via interpreters. That summer, the regiment was put into the line to relieve exhausted French and allied Italian units.
Sonya Renae Hodges- Grantham is a mother, grandmother, genealogist, author, graver, historian, and researcher, with a motto of "Get The Job Done and Get It Done Right". She is the Founder and President of the World War I - 371st Historical Society. She is also the Founder of Cornbread Jubilee, an annual event that is held in honor of the corn crop, agriculture, and farming and Co-Founder of the Veterans Formation (1993) Columbia, South Carolina. She is sole Restorer/Curator of Childs Cemetery in South Carolina and has also authored two books.

Dr. Sheldon Feldman is chief of breast surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and assistant professor of surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he oversees the breast cancer surgery program at the Comprehensive Breast Center of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, and work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons and other breast cancer support staff.
Dr. Feldman is helping to pioneer the use of the ductoscope, a tiny endoscope inserted through the patient's nipple used for diagnosis, surveillance and treatment of cancer patients. His research using the device may help lead to a simple test for early diagnosis that could eventually be the equivalent of a Pap smear for breast cancer. Dr. Feldman anticipates that the intraductal approach will ultimately be used to treat early breast cancer as well as ablating the milk ducts to prevent cancer development for high-risk women as an alternative to mastectomy.
A leader in minimally invasive breast cancer surgery, Dr. Feldman was instrumental in developing the transmammary axillary lymph node evaluation (TANE) procedure, which requires only a single incision for lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. He is also an expert in oncoplastic skin-sparing and nipple-preserving mastectomy.
His research interests are focused on preventing the disease through a better understanding of environmental toxins linked to breast cancer, including chlorinated pesticides, PCBs and PBDEs, and he is helping to investigate new biopharmaceutical treatments, including green tea extract and vitamin D.
The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul
At 22 Years of age I was young and pre TBI. I was feeling very heathy and taking on the future like on like a Mad Man on a mission when an AVM in my brain that had been hiding quietly erupted like a violent Volcano in my Brain from Birth struck from deep within my Brain as fast as lightning as I Screamed for help collapsing to the cement floor of the Factory that I worked as the fire of the explosive Aneurism in my brain hit me with blunt and brutal Fury from deep within my Skull with murderous intent!
I had visons of both being a professional Moto Cross Racer and a singer song writer musician and yet there I was screaming in pain like never before fighting for my very existence. The Good News is I am still here alive and kick wiring many permeant battle scars and even though I had several more surgeries all over my brain I have lived long enough to be thankful for all the pain and even can say I feel blessed. How about you do you feel week tired and angry or do you view life through a different lens that say no matter what keep on moving and fight not only for your own Independence but as a freedom Fighter for Justus and good for all people with disabilities.
Tonight I’m calling my show the Midnight early Bird Special because in my mind I say it’s time to celebrate success and heck even failure if you dare to believe in your Dreams because failure is just another word for survivors who are inspired to go back jack and do it again and again until we find out yes indeed life is good and worth living if you only give you self a chance and fight for the future with all the gusto you can muster up!!!
We will Talk and chat tonight so be ready to share your stories and listen to some great Indi music because and life is good and well worth living here at Dream Catchers a place where people come to listen, Learn, talk, and feel like part of the community again!

With this in mind, he founded ECBRO and the Discovery Project. The project is in place for the evidence and to find proof that of the elusive creature known as bigfoot. He works along with members of the ECBRO and valley bigfooters to research along various locations on the east coast. On this episode of All Things Spiritual And Supernatural, join your host Coyote Chris Sutton as he welcomes David Rountree, paranormal researcher, author and of Ghost Stalkers on Destination America
David began his research into the paranormal professionally in 1976, and has investigated cases scientifically from Rhode Island to Key West, Florida. David has experimented with both scientific as well as metaphysical techniques in his study of unexplained occurrences. Over the course of his research he was able to confirm EVP was not related to sound by the use of a Bell Jar, a vacuum pump, a Shure dynamic microphone and a TEAC A-4010S Reel to Reel recorder. Due to several encounters of a very negative nature from 1985-87, he made the decision to concentrate on the scientific research concerning the phenomena, and not the metaphysical aspects of the events. By 1998 his focus of research had narrowed to phenomena specific to "Hauntings".
David's additional areas of research includes investigating the relationship between free air conductance, magnetic fields, radioactive emissions, electromagnetic fields and other electrical radiation surrounding paranormal phenomena. He is also experimenting with injecting energy into a paranormal event horizon using Tesla Coil technology in order to observe and record the effects. He is developing a device designed to capture and analyze the phenomena referred to as orbs in order to either prove or dismiss their existence. David is also experimenting with a self designed ITC (Interdimensional Trans-Communications) device using electromagnetic field propagation as a medium of cross communication. He is also studying the environmental effects surrounding mediums and psychics when they are active in their work.
