More will be revealed! Tune in, stop in and call in. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me."
We focus on the four A's of Recovery...Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers. :)
Some nights we will have a featured guest, and others we will introduce a topic of recovery, encouraging callers to join us in the discussion. The second part of the show is Open Mic and some great Indy Music, sure to inspire!

My name is Lori Purdy Faitel and I am a Traumatic Brain Injury/TBI Survivor. And I am your host for THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS. I suffered a TBI many years ago, when I was 24 years old. As I speak to you I am 52 years old and very happy to share my age. Like many of us survivors of brain injury; I was clinically dead 3 times so…. it is proper to tell that I almost did not live to be 25, which makes being over 50 a blessing!
Back in the day, everything in my life was a dream come true. I was almost 25 years old, had a recent promotion in business which inspired me with dreams for my future. I was attending college at night, I had recently moved out of my parents home for the first time, I had many friends and I was on the fast track to a future of my dreams with the man I had been in love with, for about 5 years. THEN on a beautiful sunny spring morning as I drove on the freeway to my job a construction truck dropped bales of hay onto my windshield causing me to lose control of my car, spinning off the road and into cement construction material. From that point forward my dreams were taken away. I was diagnosed with a TBI, in a mild coma for 7 days and it took about 6 years of therapy and extensive study before I was able to function like an adult again. I understand that the world is not filled with happiness; But for an hour or so lets concentrate on things that help to create happiness.
My guests for Wednesday October 22 at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, 7 Central, 6 Mountain or 5 Pacific; will be Michael Rocque and Leah Grace. Michael & Leah are co-creators of “Transformational Self-Love”…A workshop series and coaching program based on awakening people to The Transformational Power of Self-Love.
Shut off your cell phone, turn off the TV. Get away from pinging electronic devices and READ, YES, I SAID READ-READ IN SILENCE!
BREAKING NEWS from New Zealand...members of a book club arrive at a cafe, grab a drink and shut off the cell phones and read in silence. The point isn't to talk about literature but to get away from electronic overload.
SLOW READING advocates seek to return to the focused reading habits of years gone by, before Google, Smart Phones and social media fracturing our time and attention spans. SLOW READING improves the ability to concentrate, reduces stress levels and deepens the ability to think, listen and empathize.
Echoes a resurgence in...etc.
Knitting by hand...etc.
SLOW READING improves...etc.
