  • Top 10 Affects of Parenting on Children

    in Motivation

    Liam Cawley of Ireland asks;

    It is sad to hear of the passing of Bobbi Christina Brown yesterday. Was her death due to bad parenting or can we hold parents responsible for their children? Is that too much of a burden to lay at anyone's feet? That anyone can be responsible for another soul? I know my own relationship with my parents is good but it wasn't always so and I blamed my mom particularity as a teen for a lot. Looking back now I could have being more considerate of her and her attempts to do her best with a child(me) at times that was so hard to deal with. Also as children and parents alike what can we each do to make life more fulfilled/loving etc for all involved because I can only imagine being a parent has its challenges but perhaps being a child has too as was the case with Bobbi. Kindest regards Nadia.

    Tim Bradley vs Jessie Vargas Recap with Joel Stern

    in Sports

    What in the boxing? Sometimes we're not sure if these kinds of frenzied, chaos-laden endings to fights that we got in Tim Bradley's win over Jessie Vargas on HBO are part of the frustrations or great things about boxing. Maybe both? Bradley survived a late rally by Vargas that ended with a referee mistake, leading to a prematurely-ended fight. It fed the post-fight discussion, but not in the most positive way. This week on Top Men Boxing Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor will toss their....however many cents out there, and will be once again joined by UC Davis boxing coach and contributor to The Sweet Science, Joel Stern. As always, join us live or catch us later on iTunes and other services. Thanks for tuning in!

    Tim Bradley vs Jessie Vargas Preview, Porter-Broner Recap

    in Sports

    Well that was an interesting little weekend in boxing, wasn't it? We had life, love, pain, longing, passion, desire, romantic comedy... One of those things, anyway. Between Shawn Porter handing Adrien Broner another deserved loss and David Lemieux waging (albeit kinda one-sided) war with Hassan N'dam, Andre Ward's return against heavy and irresponsible Paul Smith fell by the wayside. This coming weekend, there's a nice matchup in Tim Bradley vs Jessie Vargas. James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor will go over all that stuff for you, you lazy bastards. More importantly, Floyd Mayweather said he might fight Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield in his final bout, so that's atrocious. Thanks for tuning in!

    The Harshnesses and Upsides of Depression, Part Two

    We all seem to know what depression is and what it does. Maybe even why we are depressed. That time that we are in depression is truly a very special time in so many ways. The rawness of depression and the results of depression set the pace for the next part of your life, yet why do we feel so so horrible during that process? What is going on in our heads and why the defeated feelings that make us feel like we are not able to get up, sleep, eat none at all or eat too much and feel like we have no plans, goals, things to look forward to and a life that has meaning? What happens after the depression? We tend to trench ourselves so deeply in depression that the way out is something we cannot see. Tune in and Join in on the Conversation Monday Morning at 5:30 AM, PST!
