Voice of Rebellion Radio presents: The Anti Sanctions Program

    in Politics

In the past few months when the US has made sanctions against nations it has backfired. From Russia, to Iran, and now with the UN deciding to sanction Houthis in Yemen and make sure Al Qaida is armed there, while the country is bombed by US backed Saudi Arabia and the complicity of other Sunni Arab nations, we see the sanctioning from the US empire or its cohots, has only backfired and brought more hate against the US and a climate of WWIII scenario. Chris Jay and Al Suarez of Voice of Rebellion Radio out of Stay Bold Radio are going to take on this topic for a two hour show. Callers are welcome.

Carson's Corner with The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

On this March 22nd, 2015, edition of Carson's Corner, the Election Boycott Advocates will begin the show by discussing the argument for early voting. Recently President Obama made the argument that mandatory voting is "potentially transformative." President Obama and his rulers want to further solidify their control over us by enshrining the meaningless act of voting. As we have discussed, voting only validates plutocratic control; and the best way to delegitimize our rulers is to not participate in their game. We'll discuss this, plus play some clips and discuss the rest of the news you won't hear in the corporate media.

Carson's Corner from the 2015 Left Forum.

    in Politics Progressive

Carson's Corner host Bob Carson attended the 2015 Left Forum at John Jay College Friday and Saturday, and he recorded some fantastic audio from some of the key radicals in the fight against imperialism and Capitalism, which are one in the same.

On 5-29, the first panel discussion, Against The Narrative: Independent Media and the Left, hosted by Julianna Forlano, featured Glen Ford of the Black Agenda Report, Eddie Conway, former Black Panther and political prisoner, and Paul Jay of The Real News. We will play audio from this discussion, which includes a discussion of black indepedent media and the need for a media alternative to the corporate dominance.

After this panel discussion, Bob had the opportunity to interview John Dennie, a retired postal worker and activist who is protesting a Staples takeover of our postal service.

Bob also had the opportunity to interview Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein. The Election Boycott Advocates have been discussing how ineffective third party candidates have been, considering the very system as constructed by the capitalist class. Bob poses this and other questions to Jill Stein.

On 5-30, Bob attended Why We Focus on U.S. Imperialist Wars, hosted by Sara Flounders, of the International Action Center, and Joe Lombardo of UNAC (United National Antiwar Coalition). Both had brilliant observations about U.S. imperialism.
