Thomas "Cornflake" Lamanna joins Team LeftJab Boxing Radio to discuss his upcoming fight at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City on December 5 against Ariel Vasquez.Cornflake talks about making his 147 debut in this fight and how he feels heading into it at the new weight. We get Lamanna's thoughts on how he rates his 2015 and what he wants to accomplish in 2016.We also talk about the Atlantic City fight scene and why it has faded since the days of Arturo Gatti.Cornflake also gives his thoughts on Canelo's win over Cotto,Fury vs Klitschko,Jacobs vs Quillin,Garcia vs Guerrero and Ronda Rousey taking her first loss to Holly Holm.
Rumors have swirled about how many Pay-Per-View buys Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's win over Miguel Cotto pulled in, and so far the news is quite good, if not surprising. It was a solid kinda-middleweight fight, but perhaps not the clash many had hoped for.
The fight that stole all the attention was Francisco Vargas' war with Takashi Miura. In danger of being stopped by a damaged eye, Vargas rallied to end Miura's night in the 9th round. It was an instant "Fight of the Year" contender.
As some may have expected, Guillermo Rigondeaux didn't entertain much on the card.
But this coming weekend we get to see two huge fighters compete for the heavyweight title on in Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, on HBO. This could be a case of who you think will win and who you want to win being two different things.
Also on the menu, James DeGale fights a comebacking Lucian Bute on Showtime in Quebec City.
All these things and more will be covered by James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor. And probably with too many jokes thrown in.

After months of speculation, a welterweight showdown between Danny “Swift” Garcia (31-0, 18KOs) and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (33-3-1, 18KOs) has been made official. The announcement came from Garcia’s Instagram account in a post that clarified both the date and venue.
The Haymon managed fighters will meet on January 23 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California in the main event of the first-ever PBC card televised on the FOX network. For the past few months, PBC has produced a weekly card on Fox Sports 1 called Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays, effectively bringing boxing back to Tuesdays and offering up some interesting cards in the process.
It was rumored last month after media speculation began to spill over that PBC would start airing fights on a third national television network – FOX. FOX has had a successful run with the UFC, and it was willing to do the same time-buy deal Haymon has brokered with other networks.

It's billed as Puerto Rico vs Mexico, but to boxing fans one doesn't need to say more than Canelo vs Cotto. The most popular fighters from both nations collide in a history making bout for the ages. ONTHEGRiND BOXiNG breaks it all down in the aftermath. Miguel Cotto gave up his WBC Middleweight Championship with a great money excuse handed to him by the WBC, in his refusing to pay the man he never intends to face, Gennady Golovkin step-aside money, or to pay his sanctioning fee. Should Canelo win, he's awarded Cotto's belt. Should Cotto win, he gains nothing more than a victory and an uncertain future.
Discussion of the boxing world straight up with no twists. Preview of the Super Fight between Saul Alvarez VS. Miguel Cotto. John Raspanti, Ron Christian, Carlos Palomino, Lanardo Tyner, Austin Trout & Jeff Bumpus are scheduled to appear.
