Join Ken and Beth in a discussion about the recent bomb attacks in Boston. How should we react to this event and to the potential security risks that it has hightlighted. It's not clear to us whether we should make any reaction because any knee-jerk reation, such as were instituted after 9/11 would only serve to reduce our freedom which is the goal of the perpetrators. Whether they are home-grown or not, the motive for the bombing attacks is still open for discussion. Let's talk about it. The Obama Administration is conducting a national conference on combating terror, and has chosen Boston as one of three model cities where authorities have a good working relationship with the Muslim community. In fact, Boston may be the most important US city where radical Muslim leaders are building an extremist base of followers.
The Obama Administration is now planning to hold a conference based on its program to “Counter Violent Extremism” in February. It has identified Boston as one of three cities where Administration policies are preventing radicalization of the Muslim community. Boston is said to be a model for others cites to emulate, because, it “has taken the lead in building pilot frameworks integrating … religious leaders, with law enforcement agencies to address violent extremism.”
Far from being a positive anti-radicalizing model, Boston is actually a model for how Islamic radicalism is created, developed and spread. As the Boston Marathon bombings showed, the Obama Administration’s willingness to be deceived by false moderates can have drastic consequences.

The five day manhunt for the two suspects. Whole towns placed on lock down. The shut down of the Boston metropolitan area on Friday likely cost hundreds of millions of dollars. The total costs related to the bombing from this week could be almost 1 billion. Could all of this been prevented?
Place a lock on US citizenship and student visas for 2 years. Only people from the 28 nations that are part of NATO would be able to get US citizenship or a student visa during that time. This lock would not apply to people trying to get a H-1B Visa. There is no quick fix to the many problems in our Immigration system. We need time to get it right. When we get it wrong people die. http://wh.gov/zYih
