How the Brooklyn shootings are like the Oklahoma City bombing; Is Bill de Blasio’s political career over?; Meanwhile, down in Washington, er, Havana, um, Hawaii; Seems like only one side in American politics is ready for guilt-by-association accusations; Which side of the aisle is more racist than the other? It’s not even close; and the Left finally finds itself on the receiving end of "guilt collectivization," may they never get out from under it.
[Programming note: We'll be on Christmas hiatus the rest of this week. See y'all next Monday! And have a very blessed Christmas!]
This is part I of a II part series in the "Keeping It Real" segment!
Too many of us have kept silent; kept our feeling to ourselves while those who we protect have walked over us and disrespected us too. We need to learn how to address what is hurting us and all that makes us unhappy. Sometimes we cannot do it oureslves so we try to get others to take the Wheel for us instead of allowing Jesus to drive the car so we will have no reason or doubts about moving forward!
So many ask Jesus to take the wheel from the passenger seat. Time to let him drive the car and you sit on the passenger side!
This is one of the most memorable Christmas stories of all time since its A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street. This is most definitely a true comedy that will have you laughing and falling out of your chair. Based from the short stories and some semi – fictions and semi-fictional anecdotes and narratives of gifted storyteller Jean Parker Shepherd, based on some of his own life, Nine year old Ralph Parker wants a particular air rifle for Christmas despite his mother and Santa wishes. Is this present right for him? Of course most of us know the ending. Anyway, Tune in Saturday at 6pm to find out more about the favorite Christmas Holiday marathon movie.
Runners get injured, often needlessly. Join Richard Diaz and his guest Jason Fitzgerald-USATF Certified Running Coach as they share insights into the cause of most running related injuries and the misconceptions of what does NOT prevent these injuries.
If you have been sidelined by running injuries, incapable of finishing a marathon and are unsure why you often plagued by reoccurring problems with your run, this is a show you don’t want to miss. Some of the information may surprise you, the solutions are simple to employ and may be what is needed to get you back on track and running with confidence once again.
During today's show, we will talk with Chris 'Gman' Giordanelli. On Saturday, December 13, 2014, this 50-year-old cyclist/multi sport athlete/runner broke the 50+ age group South Carolina state marathon record in a very fast 2:47 (the previous record, 2:50). We are going to speak with Chris and hear about his journey towards the record. What inspired Chris to go after this record? What were some of the ups and downs he experienced during his "marathon training camp?" After breaking this record, what's next on his radar?

Tonight's special guest is Robert Nelson, a survivor of child sexual abuse who, in spite of being sexually abused by a teacher when in school and dealing with the associated trauma, became an internationally recognized speaker and consultant. When in his late 40s, Nelson began to actively confront his childhood abuse. In addition to seeking therapy, Robert became active on the government affairs front, and he's currently a Member of the Board of Directors at Justice4PAKids. The athletic trainer at Nelson’s high school, a marathon runner, befrended him. Robert was 15 and naturally he felt special. After their run one day, the teacher began the pattern of sexual abuse that would last until Robert's senior year. The man made Robert feel as if he were his friend, that he could trust him. He gave Robert access to his mobile home and let him sleep there in the middle of the day where he had an array of gay magazines. He also gave Robert his sports car to drive, and money. When Robert was 17 the trainer took him to an over night professional conference at a hotel and made him sleep in his room. To this day, the trainer continues to work with children at a Pennsylvania high school. In fact, after retiring at the collegiate level as a head athletic trainer the abuser went back to the high school level as a part-time trainer where he could again be amongst children. Robert has become a passionate anti-abuse advocate, lobbying for statute of limitations reform and for child sexual abuse to be added as an exception to the sovereign immunity defense that shields public officials from being sued. Nelson is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a degree in Criminology and Sociology.

Running a Marathon is tough, when it takes 5 hours, even tougher. Richard Diaz shares tips with a runner who struggles to break the 5 hour barrier. Marathon Running Tips that focus on what to do and how to feed when the race takes longer than planned.
Look at any major Marathon and you’ll see that greater than half of the participants run within the 5 hour range. This may be because more and more people are meeting the challenge than ever before. Unfortunately, there is little information provided for these runners. Most of what is written on training focuses on runners who hope to run in the sub-4 hour finish time. One of our listeners asked that we address this problem and serve up some running tips. If you are running a marathon for the first time, or have struggled when you are beyond 20 miles, this show is for you!
