LatinoTalk Texas is news, issues and interviews important to Latinos in America. On today's show, December 12th, I discuss the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe which is very important to Latinos in America, especially Mexicanos and ethnic Mexicans like myself. I read an article about riders in Illinois who rode to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines and delivered a rose while passing on horseback. I went on to read more news from the Catholic News Service concerning the Synod of the Family and Conscious Rights of Catholics under assault in liberal America both by the Obama administration and the liberal City of Washington DC which enacted similar ordinances as Plano, and Houston, Texas which challenge religious freedom and expression. Later in the show, a caller, Juan Martinez, a former police officer in the Dallas Ft. Worth area called to ask about 287g, a federal program that enables local law enforcement to question person incarcerated to determine if they should be evaluated by immigration enforcement. Martinez wanted to know if that program is still in effect. I reported that as I know it is but in reference to SB 1070 which was largely found to be unconstitutional but also still authorized in vague terms state and local law enforcement to be "assist" immigration and customs authorities. Previously, this was not true as the Supremacy Clause prevented state and local LEO from investigating such matters without 287g authorization. However, since the SB1070 case, states have new authorization and in places like Arizona, they uses it indiscriminately and over zealously. I am very worried about the laws Dan Patrick will pass here in Texas and use it to violate the rights of Latinos here in Texas simply because we may look "foreign." Clearly a violation of the 4th Amendment.

Life's Issues with Lloyd Rosen and his guest Robert Tremblay & Maxwell Ivey:
Robert Tremblay has been a Management Trainer nationally for 18 years before being diagnosed terminal and surviving after a near death experience that changed my life. Prior I was in Law Enforcement with my last position being named "the youngest chief of police in the country." I left Law Enforcement after various injuries and disillusionment after arresting the entire board of selectman and road agent in my town for conspiracy. Prior to this I was a decorated US Army Veteran. I have been a national Trainer and accredited speaker in sales management and spent many years traveling the country teaching. After my experience I have set a course on writing a book due out in the spring of 15 called "Twenty Seconds". I plan on advocating for my disease and starting a foundation to give back to various charities that assited me during my illness.
Maxwell Ivey a 48 year old totally blind gentleman who grew up in a family of carnival owners. All I ever wanted to do was to continue in my father’s and grandfather’s footsteps and be part of the family business. As you can tell by reading this that isn’t where I ended up. I did help in the business over the years, but couldn’t sustain it after the early death of my father from lung cancer. I then turned to helping people sell their amusement equipment. I do that on my other site the midway marketplace.
Jim Yardley joins me for a chat about oil prices and the world economy, from our gas pumps to Russia to Venezuela.....

CUBANOS IN WISCONSIN BY SILVIO CANTO JR
All across the United States there have been multiple assaults and deaths involving law enforcement that brings to question whether police officers are handling these situations properly before resulting to deadly force. It has been said that these issues have been going on for years, but because of multiple recent deadly incidents involving law enforcement, the conversation has grown and some situations has resulted in unpeaceful protests and riots. Whether it's the Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Darrin Manning, Tanisha Anderson or Tamir Rice incident. Only one of these incidents did not result in death, but it did result in a long term disadvantage. What should we as citizens know about how law enforcement should properly handle certain situations? Also, how do we move properly move on from these incidents without making them worse? Tune in as Mr. Yancey is joined live in the studio by Joddy Eric Matthews from Madwerkz Studios, on the phone by Bishop Maye of Pilgrim Church of Christ and head of the Midwestern district of PICO, and more as we discuss these incidents and where do we go from here. This week we are joined by young professional tarot reader and college student, Jake Kent who will touch upon some of the struggles he has dealt with being a reader of younger age trying to balance having a job and getting a college degree. He will share some of his personal experiences of sensitive issues with us from coming out of the tarot closet to how it has affected some of his personal relationships and how it has helped shaped him to the young professional he is today.
Jake Kent has been reading Tarot since the age of thirteen and fell in love with the metaphors and symbolism found in them. Jake has a love of creating spreads for his sessions and using the cards in a myriad of ways, from writer’s block to predictive readings. Jake believes that the cards are a direct link to spirit and that readers interpret the messages in them for their clients. Over the years he has explored his intuitive and psychic readings and found great success in connecting these readings to the Tarot.
Uggghhh... We have been having all sorts of audio issues. In particular, our voices are coming out very grainy. I think we have **finally** solved this problem, and hopefully tonight's episode will come in a lot clearer. As always, thank you for your support and we look forward to giving you a reading!
Yarrow uses tarot cards to help her callers identify and deal with their troubles. Sli, a gifted musician, is the Master of Ceremonies, providing inspiration while Yarrow ponders the cards. his morning i was reading and came across that Nebraska is suing Colorado over marijuana.
In a statement and subsequent news conference Thursday, Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning said Colorado's marijuana legalization has adversely affected his state. Colorado pot is turning up in Nebraska, he said, resulting in an increase in marijuana-related arrests on his state's western border.
"Nebraska taxpayers have to bear the cost," Bruning said, in comments reported by the Omaha World-Herald. "We can't afford to divert resources to deal with Colorado's problem."
"Federal law undisputedly prohibits the production and sale of marijuana," Bruning added in a statement. "Colorado has undermined the United States Constitution, and I hope the U.S. Supreme Court will uphold our constitutional principles."
im going on record i hate Nebraska!! when i was there 3 years ago on the mhh tour i got arrested twice for marijuana. your attorney general is a assclown who is ignorant and has no interest in facts. spending your tax dollars arresting people smoking marijuana is just plain stupid and unnecessary.
i live in california and i get my weed delivered to my door legally everyday and have lost focus that in Nebraska people are in fear of going to jail over a harmless plant and the cancer patients face prison terms for treating there illness
i have decided to move to Nebraska and head up there dysfunctional normal offices and i will get marijuana legalization on the ballot for 2016 and also put john brunning out of office
Nebraska we are coming to help because this lawsuit is the last straw Colorado will not be bullied by some ignorant farmer who's only excuse for marijuana being illegal is that he is old school
