Multiple myeloma is typically tracked by measuring the M-protein, also called the "M-spike." But in some patients, the M-protein gets lost, making it difficult if not impossible to detect myeloma levels without a bone marrow biopsy. Dr. James R. Berenson, MD of the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research has been working on a new test (assay) and has found direct correllations between levels of BCMA and the M-spike. He also has identified new clues that BCMA levels can provide related to outcomes within specific patient populations. Learn more in this show about a new and potentially easier way to detect myeloma, which would be incredibly valuable for the non-secretor.

Susun Weed answers 90 minutes of herbal health questions followed by a 30 minute interview with Gill Stannard. Since childhood, Gill has been fascinated with herbs and was delighted to turn this passion into a profession after graduating from Southern School of Natural Therapies (Melbourne, Australia) in 1991. She ran a successful multidisciplinary clinic in Melbourne for 23 years, before taking her business online and moving to Sydney. Gill’s well known for her radio show, which aired for almost 20 years, and television appearances. With a move to Sydney in 2014, Gill refocused the way she practices by going back to the grassroots of natural medicine and working with clients in a health coaching framework. Power to the People!
Diverticulosis is a condition that describes small pouches in the wall of the digestive tract. About 20% of people with diverticulosis experience additional complications. This condition is quite common and occurs in 10% of people over 40 and 50% of people over age 60. Diverticulosis increases with age and affects almost everyone over age 80. However, these numbers are only a gross estimate as most people with diverticulosis do not experience any discomfort or symptoms. Those who experience symptoms may suffer from abdominal pain, bloating, excessive gas, constipation, bloody stools, fever and chills.
The most common approaches to this issue are medications, rest, antibiotics and surgical intervention. Most of these can be avoided if one is willing to adjust a few lifestyle habits.
Dr. Budweiser, founder of Weiser Living, will share with you his all natural approach to eliminating and preventing new pouches from forming.
You will learn:
What Is Diverticulitis?
What Symptoms To Look Out For
What Causes Diverticulitis & Who Is Likely To Get It?
Side Effects Of Commonly Prescribed Medications Related To Diverticulitis
Natural & Holistic Approach To Healing Diverticulitis
