This week we will not only be infused with imagination, but also with alcohol! We will be continuing our Fall “Wet Your Whistle” series on Wednesday, December 10th at noon LIVE from our offices with Colin Asare-Appiah. The Bacardi Portfolio Master Mixologist will be whipping us up some innovative new cocktails, perhaps even some of the final contenders of Bombay’s “The World’s Most Imaginative Bartender” competition.
It should come as no surprise that the company whose namesake is a 182 carat sapphire entitled the Star of Bombay enjoys crowning the best bartenders in the world. The real gem of the company, however, is their brand new distillery, Laverstoke. Designed by multiple award winning designer, Thomas Heatherwick, the distillery boasts a BREEAM award for sustainability and two stunning, intertwining botanical glasshouses. These glasshouses are meant to maintain two separate climates, one tropical and one temperate to foster the ten botanicals from around the world infused into every bottle of Bombay. If we are lucky, maybe Gary will reveal if the rumor about these gin botanicals making people angry is true, or a complete hoax.
So get your shakers ready. If we can have martinis on a Wednesday afternoon then so can you!

Let’s welcome Swami Sachinanda aka Dr. Bombay to “Get Your, It Together!” Revelation aka, will share his platform with this internationally acclaimed holistic healer that utilizes fruits, herbs, natural oils and intentionally focused energy to aid in helping people to improve conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, obesity and joint pain, just to name a few. Dr Bombay performs energy surgery that rejuvenates and regenerates. His grandfather is credited with passing on to him generations of wisdom with herbs from his motherland of India, which stresses that the only limitations that one has, are the ones that are imposed on oneself. He works through a person’s first cell of creation, which is established at conception, residing in the pineal gland, also known as the Third Eye. The manifestation of this first cell contains the blueprint of our perfection, wholeness and infinitely eternal health. Almost a decade and a half ago, Dr. Bombay met the renowned Swami Mantra Shakti Healer and was under his tutelage. With the Swami’s guidance, Dr. Bombay experienced a “break” through when the healing mantra given to him, started manifesting its healing properties channeling through Dr. Bombay! He can be reached for healing sessions and consultations at 516-669-4488, or go to his website at doctorbombayproducts.com. You can also email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. New Orleans based, indie dance rock artist Ryan Gray, aka Luxley,is releasing his debut album and has recently joined the Bombay Bicycle Club and Milo Greene’s Fall 2014 North American Tour. Luxley’s Spirit debut EP marks the return of co-producer and former Passion Pit member Ayad Al-Adhamy to the world of catchy, synth-pop hooks from his guitar driven, punk rock anthem slinging project Team Spirit and production of Black Bell Records. Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes) lends his ear as engineer and mixer, helping to draw out the indie, pop, and timeless dance synth-centric elements.
After moving back home from Nashville and a promising career in medicine, Luxley reconnected with the local NOLA scene and old friend (now manager and founder of Rude Fox Records) Sky McElroy, and began recording his new music. Luxley is currently on a North American tour through with the 2014 Mercury Prize Finalist Bombay Bicycle Club and cinematic pop quintet Milo Greene. But he is stopping by for a conversation with us at Music FridayLive!.
